Where to ride with limited time in Park City?

I will be driving thru Park City on a road trip in August, and would like to check out the riding. I wish I could dedicate a whole day to the area, but I'll only have a few hours to ride (compromise with the wife). Where are the "must ride" trails???

Head up Jenny ' s, Spiro or Armstrong to the Mid mountain trail. Pick a direction and go. If you see a trail heading up, explore for a bit. You are never too far from a trail that heads back down to town and you can usually always see town from the higher trails so you'll know where you are.

Perfect advice. ^^^ Armstrong is up only (which is nice) I usually only have limited time also. Quick Loops I've liked so far are: Are Up Armstrong>take left on Mid MTN.>down Spiro or Up Jenny's and down John's Each took me about an hour or so for either of those.

Don't make the mistake I did once and think that taking the lift up is faster. I took the "sightseeing" lift. I could have biked up faster. (maybe) I was going bonkers since it was SO slow and I told the wife I'd be back soon. didn't help I got a pinch flat on the way down and my rental bike tool bag had no spare and the CO2 was spent. Oops.

Re: Where to ride with limited time in Park City?

Thanks for the tips guys. One more question: I'm currently running 1x10 (30x11-36) but still have everything I need to switch back to 2x10 if needed. My fitness level is fairly high but is 1x10 a bad idea?

Your 1x10 will be fine. Nothing at PCMR is super steep. At least nothing you'll find within an hour or two.

We rode Flying Dog this weekend. It was pretty good. No where near as busy as Park City proper.
