What's up with Diamond Fork Canyon?

Do any of you Utah Valley riders know the progress on the construction they were doing in Diamond Fork Canyon a few years ago? I moved from Spanish Fork to Logan in 2001 and was just curious to know if you can still access and ride Monks Hollow, Upper Sixth water, or Sawmill Hollow from Diamond Fork.

I moved away right when it was starting and I can't remember when they said it was supposed to be done or what impact it would have on the trails there.

    The road is open...

Can't speak from personal experience, but it was posted over at utahmountainbiking.com back in July that the road was open, freshly paved, and that the trailhead parking at Fifth Water etc. had been improved. Trails were all in good shape and being maintained. There was also a mention that there was some access problems for the Monk's Hollow trail.

Might be a little late for this year though.

You're probably right that it's too late for this year. Maybe in the spring...

I actually worked on that project. They were putting in a huge water pipe to help feed some Central Utah and its surroundings. I put in the fiber optic cable that would help open and close the gates in the pipe and everything else fiber does.
They should be done being that I was there all last year (03).
