New question here. What's dry in Ogden Canyon?

I'm going to go check out Wheeler Creek trail and see how far I can go before it gets too messy. I can no longer handle the crowd on the shoreline trail.

Has anyone been up to Wheeler yet? What other trails will be the quickest to thaw and dry out near Ogden?

I skied at Snowbasin today... looked at the trails on my way... you are a very long way out! Wheeler is very shaded. I doubt you will get far.

Let me know what you find if you go up Wheeler. I also assume that it will be too wet. I biked out at Antelope three weeks ago and its great...its still pre-hatch season out there so if you go now you will avoid the bugs....keep me posted

I haven't found the crowds to be too thick beyond waterfall canyon....most riders that start up Rainbow Gardens turn around at or before waterfall....i went up to Beus the other day and I was pretty much the only one out that far...

Good job! Wheeler was still covered...

The whole shoreline is cool though, from skyline to 12th and from 12th to Beus. It is all good...Wheeler was covered, completely. Indian Trail is covered 1 mile from the canyon side, but from the town side it is cool until it wraps around and heads back into the trees. I'm just being impatient. I was hoping the weak winter would mean more spring riding, but that late snow botched that. Oh well, at least I got a couple epic spring days at the basin....
