My name is Keith, 22. Just got out of the military, and have been biking a lot in Texas until I moved down here several months ago (the mtb community in TX is awesome, and I'm sure UT will be even better). I'm an Ogden resident now, and attending Weber State. I have done a few trails, but I'm not too familiar with the local area just yet. I hope to meet more people that love biking as much as I do, and find some cool new groups to ride with.

Had been wrenching for 9 years, but life caught up and now I have a real job. In the life catch up phase, I've sold all my full suspension stuff for rent money, but still have some fun stuff. You can find me on my SS conversion fisher and next year I'll be throwing a big bike around. Until then, it's off to the skate parks to try and learn that.

I'm Zac, 33 yrs old, living in Lehi. I have been riding since 1994, raced xc from 1998-2002. Got married and slowed down on the biking till 2008 when I decided to compete in the 24 hours of Moab. This lit the fire again. I competed in a few races last year including 12 hrs of Sundance and 24 hrs of Moab. I ride a 2009 Rocky Mountain Element 90, and just built up a new custom 2010 Altitude 29er and a 2010 Jamis Xenith Team road bike. I like to ride just about everywhere. Most of my buddies live in Davis County so I'm looking for a crew down on the south end of the valley and Utah county to ride with.

I'll post just to make Utah seem big. It's a proven fact that only ten people live in the state, so some of you are double posting. https://forums.mtbr.com/images/smilies/wink5.gif
40, married, climb more than I bike. My main biking partner moved to Nephi. Now I just cry and cry. Moab, gooseberry mesa, local SLC.
Rocky Mountain Element. It's too racy a frame. Looking at 29ers or more relaxed geometry.

Noah, live in SLC, from VT. I'm a beginner/intermediate rider who just got a full suspension bike 2 years ago and I can't get enough time on it. I love it. I really want to jump more and learn to really fly down hill. I ride Dry creek/Bob sled and Little Cottonwood mostly but I like xc trails like Flying dog and Crest too. I'm 39, married, and work as an auto mechanic. My wife rides too but she isn't a fan of Bob sled or upper Little Cottonwood. She likes Crest trail, lower Cottonwood, Dry creek, etc. Look forward to seeing people on the trails.

I use to be active duty Air Force. Hill AFB was my first assignment and I fell in love with the area. I grew up in NW Montana and naturally love the mountains. I separated active duty and am full time reserves at Hill. I got a Gary Fisher 29er last Fall but haven't been off the pavement yet. I've been commuting on it during the week. About a 12 mile round trip from my house in West Point to the base. If anyone is going out this weekend I'd love to tag along, preferably up North.

Not sure if this is still going on or now, but I'll add my info anyway.

    Info:
    Scott Cooley
    Logan, UT
    32 yrs old
    Mostly play hockey

    Bike:
    Scott Aspect 20 (2009)
All stock, except put a Conti Mountain King 2.4 on the front and a Race King 2.2 on the rear. Not really sure why, but it was recommended by a friend.

    Riding Info:
I used to ride 4-5 times a week, about 15 years ago. My 8-yr old son wanted to start riding, and I need to lose some weight, so I figured I would pick it back up again this year. I prefer all mountain, if I'm getting the terminology right, and singletrack.

    Jake, 25.

Originally from WI, moved here last fall. Did a little "mountain" biking in WI, but never was too hardcore about it. Starting to really get into it now that I can do the real thing.

    Living in Cottonwood Heights.

    Single (and looking. Single ladies??)

Worked for Snowbird this past winter. I'm a snowboarder, who also clicks into my skis every once in a while. Currently working for a golf course in SLC.

    Bike: 03 Giant NRS.

If you see my out on the trails, you're probably more likely to notice my Red Bull helmet.

Mainly have been riding the Crest Trail. Looking for more recommendations for other trails in the area.

    Hi Utah.
It's been such a good introduction, moving out here from San Francisco at the beginning of this month. The desert mooseknuckler showed me some fine slickrock outside of St. George before I drove a short drive up to Brian's head and had some lung popping, mind bending, wildflower, Sound of Music -esque decents and climbs.

But now I'm in Logan. Moved here for graduate studies. Loving what I can find so far, but currently need rides to trails farther up the canyon, or would love to find some people that go for 40 mile, all day epics in the area.

Or just session jumps and berms in Green Canyon.
    Or build bigger ones elsewhere.

I'd love to meet any locals that could show me more trails, and I've got all the time in the world to ride before school starts.

Hey, a fellow Nomad rider! I hate you a little bit less than the others now.

BTW, she's powder-coat black and very sexy. We've been through a lot together the last 3 years...it's going to be a sad day when I have to trade her in for a newer model. I think I'll ride her hard for a couple more year though.

Originally from northern Wyoming but claim Boise, ID after 9 years there.
Moved to Price a year and a half ago and really just started riding then.

Primarily ride rocky and somewhat technical cross country with a few avid riders here because that's what the area has to offer. We build up some additional terrain obstacles and jumps when we can but there's not really any flowing down hill or anything along those lines.

I rode two days in Boise, ID last week and absolutely LOVED the rock free and open trails. The climbing was certainly grueling at some points but the downhill was fantastic!

    Currently Riding:
    2010 Fezzari Cascade Peak
~2001 GT Aggressor 3.0 with an ongoing eBay rebuild/upgrade.

I got my first mountain bike a week ago and rode it on dirt for the first time today. I grew up on a bmx bike, and love riding my Honda crf450 so I'm ok on 2 wheels. Bearclaw Poppey was a blast today. I guess my riding style or preference would be anything that scares me at least a little or has more thrill/fun than work(uphill).
    I am married w/2 kids.
    I ride a KHS Velvet.
I like all sports. Literally all sports.
I'm somewhat of an adrenaline junky.
If you live in St. George and want to ride w/ someone, let me know. I don't have a lot of riding partners, and my wife won't let me go alone.

I haven't ridden enough or with enough people to know where I rank. I'm not good(or stupid) enough to ride rbr level stuff, but I do like a good thrill. I also just got my first pair of eggbeaters and I have had a good laugh a few times when I couldn't get out of them fast enough.

    Good afternoon

    Good afternoon,

Please permit me this bit of space to allow me a proper introduction.
My name is Jimothy H. Noisebottom, a relatively new transplant to the area from Christmas Commons which is just outside of Oxfordshire. Having moved out here with my lovely wife Jonith, we are both hoping to become more engaged in your cycling community.
A bit about my background: Having finished my conscription in Her Majesty's Service I spent the better part of ten years working my way up from a private and into a specially formed unit called The Mighty Weepuzzlers within which I became a Runner's Aide To The Night Vice Lieutenant, a prestigious position within its ownright.
I also sang with the Christmas Commons One Man Tamborine Band for three years and enjoy rap music.
Originally I was brought out here to manage an Internet Technology division of a large corporation and was just recently promoted to a desk within their Inbound Call Center.
I have precisely two years, three months riding a bike along with the Troxley Trolley Dandies back home and consider myself an upper intermediate bike handler.
I sincerely look forward to meeting all of you and participating in all of your group rides.
I have included a photo of my promotion within The Mighty Weepuzzlers rather than one where I am in my bicycling attire so that you may recognize me and make an introduction should we pass on the surface streets.

    Sincerely,

    Jimothy H. Noisebottom, TNIR, R3-IR

    Name is Rick
    I am a 50+ XC guy
I am working up in the Ogden area.
I enjoy a nice mix of flowy fast single tack with a few technical challenges thrown in.
Not into super steep extended climbing or sick technical trail.
My schedule is pretty flexible. I can ride weekday mornings or evenings and weekends.
I have been riding the BST in this area and I really enjoy that.
    I ride a Niner hardtail.

    Hey,
My name is Jan (pronounced Yan).

I'm 21, male, living in downtown SLC.

I'm originally from Upstate NY; I moved to Utah and worked at Alta for a season two years ago (08/09).
I then went home to NY and spent the next year and a half missing Utah, so I moved back in August of 2010. Going to SLCC.

As far as riding is concerned, I like a bit of everything so long as its not too over the top (not too comfortable with airs and drops); more XC and fun on the way down.

At the moment I ride a Niner EMD 9, and an old Kona Dawg (full squish)... but I'm in the early stages of planning/building a Niner RIP 9.

Greetings fellow Utahns. My name is Scott, 32 years old 1 wife 2 children (13 YO son and 11 YO daughter). I live in northern Utah county and work in Salt Lake. Born in southern Cal and transplanted here by my folks in 1992. I just started mountain biking 16 months ago and have fallen in love with riding dirt. I rode bmx for years as a kid so it wasn't hard to get into trail riding. I currently ride a full suspension stumpy 29er because I thought at my height (6'2") I was supposed to ride big wheels, but I'm looking to put together a big travel 26' bike like a nomad or mojo to expand my options and get the wheels in the air. I ride mostly corner canyon, AF canyon, and timp trails and mostly ride alone. Other interests include fly fishing, hiking, dogs, guns, beer, bass fishing, and snowboarding.

    New to Provo

Hi! Just moved to Provo and I love biking, but its just not too fun by myself. I have been riding for a long time, but I'm slow (probably always will be) on the uphill. Downhill, no problem. Getting my MS at BYU in Food Science, and I'm 25 years old. If anyone wants to meet up and have a riding buddy, message me! I'd love to meet people my age that like to ride

I'm gonna re-introduce myself since a lot has changed in the last three years.
    Location: Ogden
    Bike: Vassago bandersnatch 29er hardtail.
Car: Lifted subaru impreza wagon or wrx wagon if the wife is sleeping.
Used to be all up in the downhill thing but I have gotten away from that and getting into just mellow xc singletrack. Always looking for people to ride with since my wife doesn't ride her bike all that often and both of us can't go out at the same time, someone has to watch our little girl. Evenings are my preferred time to ride. I want to get some lights to get into some night riding.

    Howdy,

I'm new to biking, but not to UT. I'm 28 and I just got my self a real DH rig (Giant Glory). I ride mostly Friday's at Sundance. I would love to hook up with some fellow riders to hit anything fun for a DH bike. I've got a hard tail 29'er as well, but its not nearly as fun

    I'm in Provo.

    Hi,
I just moved to SLC from the midwest. I just got a Remedy 8 and have been riding Bonneville Shoreline and went out to Glenwild/Cobblestone in Park City today. Any ride suggestions/people to ride with would be appreciated. I'm thinking Mid Mountain Trail tomorrow.
My other bikes are a Karate Monkey SS rigid, and a '96 Klein Pulse Comp rigid - hence the new bike.

cman8, I rode the full Mid Mountain trail in Park City yesterday and loved it if that gives you an idea of the kind of trails I like. I really like flowy, wooded, technical singletrack. I'm going to go ride the Corner Canyon Trails right now. Thanks for the suggestion.

I don't live down there, but I rode the Corner Canyon trails in Draper a few days ago and was pretty impressed. It's nice on the way up Lower Canyon Trail and really fun going down Rush Trail. However, if you're a beginner I might stick to one of the other trails back down, it has a lot of large berms and is as they call it a "flow trail."

I'm a bit late to the party, I guess.

Male, 45 years old, SLC native, lived in NorCal for awhile but moved back. Happy to be once again enjoying the mountains and high desert of one of the greatest places on earth.

Started mountain biking in 1985 or so. First MTB was a 1984 Specialized Rockhopper, purchased new from Wasatch Touring. My current bikes are a 1994 Rockhopper for really-bad weather commuting, a 2011 SC Nomad for trails and really good weather commuting, and a 2009 Specialized Pitch Comp. Gotta a Sette Reken build in the works to replace the old Rockhopper.

I commute 3-4 days per week year round, from the Millcreek area to Research Park in SLC. I'd love to hear from any of the commuters that pass me as I slowly plod my way to work on my 35 lb full-susser. My favorite summer rides are the Solitude trails . . .

Hey Folks. My name is Kevin and I moved to SLC from Michigan 2 years ago. Picked up a Giant Reign X1 soon after moving here. I've been riding SLC, PC and Moab so far. I'm 28 years old and also enjoy riding dirt bikes, snowboarding (resort & BC) and tossing back a few cold ones.

    Newer to mtn biking

I live in Ogden going to Weber State. Hope to be down at the U next year for grad school. First real year of getting into mtbing. Before was always borrowing a bike when someone needed a bud to ride with.
I bought my first rig which is a Felt Nine Trail. Good bike but I got bit hard by the upgraditis fly. I now own a Niner air9 rigid for mtb racing. do triathlons especially Xterra. Love to ride, always looking to hit up some good single track.

Not so new to the area (lived here all my life) but new to the hobby...or at least: thats what I tell the pros that sail by me like I am standing still.

Male - 37 - used to ride mostly in the Draper/BST/Traverse Ridge area...but then my boss started killing me on the trails, so out of embarrassment I ride Yellow Fork out in my now native Herriman.

I have a Specialized Hard Rock, a 29er Motobecane Outcast and a Mongoose bike-shaped-object (hey...dont judge me...I put nearly 900 miles on her before I decided that it weighed 10 lbs more than it should have - plus, @ $200, that makes it reduce-to-the-ridiculous of around $0.23/mile - not a bad investment)

I drink too much and dont ride enough (but one of those things is going to be a new years resolution change)

    Cheers

    Ryan

Hi, I just signed up to the forum. My name is Stephanie, I'm a few months shy of 50, am married and have 3 kids. I prefer hilly trails to screaming downhills. I'm not a dare devil. I live in Ogden and usually ride with my husband or girlfriend. My girlfriend, not his.

I'm trying to get ready for the Moab Xterra in June, but I think I have a stress fracture in my foot, so the good weather better hold so I can train on my bike while resting the foot.

I live in Provo Canyon. I am a 50ish XC racer type. Not too big on DH stuff. I can ride most anytime, but i ride Tues, Thurs Sat and Sun for sure. I just moved to the area so I would like to hook up with locals that know which trails are good and which ones are not so good. PM if you wanna.

Are you missing some punctuation? It looks like you can only ride Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Lol

Hello, I'm Jason from Logan. 6 years ago I was riding 4 times a week then life got in the way. Now my life has calmed down and looking forward to getting back in shape. I'm super stoked about the early spring here in Northern Utah so that I can get out riding. Now I just need to work off 5 years of a desk job. Man this is going to hurt

Hi my name is Jaron. and I'm an alcoho...oh wait.

I live in Logan, and have been here for almost 3 years. I just started biking last spring and I'm Loving it. I tend to ride Green canyon at least once a week or more. I also ride my commuter to work daily as long as the weather is cooperating enough for a bike ride. I'm currently trying to get in shape for the wimmers XC at Sherwood in 2 weeks.

    Hi I'm Cody,
I ride the foothills of Provo Canyon . . . just above NE Orem. Great riding up there. I'm up there at least 3 times a week. I ride with my daughters and wife mostly. I love where I live!

Hey everyone! My name is Alex. I live in Ogden and have my whole life, can't believe I haven't started mountain biking sooner! I bought a bike last year and finally got bit by the bug to go riding much more often this year. I'm pretty sure I'm hooked
I have a giant revel 1, got into riding a ton and of course wanted to upgrade, so I recently bought a niner rip 9 from KSL. Been riding it for about 3 weeks now and I love it! Anyway, see ya'll around.

Been in Logan for a few years now, around for another 3 semesters while the wife completes a Teaching Certificate. Bought a Surly Pugsley in October 11', rode it all winter/spring and am now riding a Moonlander regularly. Lack the rack to get my rides anywhere so I spend most of my time riding in Green Canyon and Logan Canyon, although I have been exploring others nearby as of late.

Enjoy "Fat Bikes" and can't wait for snow to fall again!!

Hey Jason, just wanted to wish you the best on getting back to biking! I started out riding last October at 315 lbs and have since lost nearly 70 lbs by riding and eating better. I spend gobs of time in front of a computer and doing art carvings so I can relate to your "desk job" reference. If you see a big guy on a Surly Moonlander or Pugsley in the local canyons give a shout out!

Hello all! Name's David (24), just moved here (Ogden) from Southern Oregon for school...Riding at home is fantastic, hoping to find the same around here. XC is mostly my forte but I'm jazzed to try out some ski-lift runs on my Dakar 29. Riding partner anyone?

I'm Jeremy, 38, been mountain biking for one and twenty years.I have been married 14 yrs and have one kid. I used to ride a lot then wasted a lot of time on school and work, quit school, own my own company and sometimes still work.

I have been riding the same bike for nearly 12 years, Cannondale F2000 team addition. Recently bought another old bike- Jekyll- and love it, its probably 12 yrs old too but 28 pound full suspension and everything still works so it's all good. I'm a bit of a weight weenie. I promised my wife I would never ride alone (first rule of out door sports) so I do not get out as much as I would like- as all my friends seem to still have jobs.

    Kent
    31 in St. George

I've been riding mostly XC for about 4 years, but getting into Freeride/DH now.

    2010 Trek Remedy 9.9
    2012 Specialized Demo 8i

Looking for some people to shuttle more DH, etc with. I'm a touch slow as I'm still getting the hang of it, but don't mind being left in the dust.

I usually ride Tuesday nights, Thursday nights and Saturdays. Most nights after 5 are do-able. I ride lambert a lot, as well as Corner Canyon since they're both within 15 min of my house. I really love Maple Hollow, and I plan on helping the crew build it up a bit this year. I'm always game to ride some new terrain. I can ride technical stuff, but I'm not lightning fast on the uphill. I plan on riding a bit tomorrow if it dries out (Lambert? AF Canyon??)

Kent, that demo is incredible. I'd love to pull the trigger on a downhill bike, I just don't see myself getting out and using it enough. Now if I had some more DH friends to ride with that might be another story...

Hi Kent. I'm in Saint George. I agree with sixstringsteve - incredible bikes. I've got a pair of bikes too. One is built for downhill a little more than the other. Dunno what you would consider downhill. Downhill for me is Bunker Creek, Dark Hollow. Even the JEM. Rampage style downhill I definitely cannot do. I love to look at the pictures though:

Yeah I'm definitely not hitting Rampage style stuff. Here closeby I consider Grafton, Flying Monkey, AMA, some of barrel, and Brian Head Resort plus dark hollow. Bunker creek would be tough on my demo due to the several pedal sections.

Other than those I ride the Remedy for the rest of our trails.

I've been up to Sundance and The Canyons and LOVED the canyons. Really fun DH/Freeride stuff. Still wanna hit deer valley and some others.

Hello. I'm new here and new to the sport. I'm looking to get my first bike next Spring. I've ridden offroad motorcycles since I was 5, but this will be my first dive into legitimate mountain biking. I'm trying to decide what bike to get. Looking at 6" AM bikes mostly.

Steve, I totally missed your post. Sorry about that. I checked back and didn't see anything. We may try to do ridge crest this weekend if you would like to go. We planned it for last weekend but I woke up with a sore throat and didn't dare ride for fear of making a cold worse. But my buddy and I are interested in trying out a night ride up at lambert sometime for sure. try shooting me a pm if I miss your post again.

25 y/o here - looking for other SLC riders. I ride from Bobsled to BST to Corner Canyon and have ventured a little further south to Lambert before.

I'll ride anything but am currently on a Kona Mahuna 29er - so extreme DH is out, but things like Bobsled are 100% in.

Season is near over, but am definitely interested in finding some riding partners! PM me!

Born and raised Utahn. Living in Bountiful. Love single track and xc. I rider a Giant XTC 29er 1 and a Felt roadie. I don't know anything about the Felt expect it goes on the road and that works for me. I'd rather be on the trail anyhow.

I am 46, gruff, married (sorry all you mountain-yoga chicas who dig hairy old grumps) live near Park City, looking for moderate sports junkies (as opposed to extreme sports junkies).

I've been around the block as far as most human powered recreational endeavors. I have nothing to prove and I am not looking to be around people who are trying to prove they are the fighting spawn of Evel Kneivel. I don't have a lot of patience for gear spouting phalico-comparative ride chatter - firm believer in the trad backcountry rule #1: No gear talk after the first five minutes. (The penalty is the bar tab and I can ring some debt up for you kids.) I like to ride without a lot of agenda. Sorry to be gruff about it but there's a lot of that here, it's great to be young etc.. just not for me. I'll testify right here up front that you are all more experienced, knowledgeable, healtthy dieted and totally rad than I am.

I am looking for a good trail for dogs anywhere in UT. My dog doesn't get to go biking much, so he needs a good open trail with no angry dog haters, no canine life coaches waiting to tell me what I am doing wrong and no cliffs to fall off of. So, pretty much 50 miles from Park City.

Anyone who rides the Price area Trails or has been further into the book cliffs with a dog?

    All ideas appreciated.

PM me if anyone is looking to ride weekends. Lower Corner Canyon is rideable (called yesterday) and we may be able to ride on the BST by Foothill. I'm sure PC is rather dry (or at least snow free) by this point as well. Laid back rides are what I'm looking for.

Howdy! Just moved to Millcreek from Iowa. I ride SS, CX (not SS), and I'm trying to get into longer-distance riding: >50-mile loops 'n sech. Adventure biking, I guess? Anyway, J mostly ride my CX bike for longer excursions. Gimme a holler if that's also your bailiwick.!

    Hi all,
I'm just getting back into MTBiking. Just bought a new Specialized Rockhopper 29. I used to ride a lot in the past (mostly local hiking trails, also love slick rock). I want to get into single track downhill and (long term goal) trials riding. So I figured I would jump in the forum to see if there are any local peeps that know the trails around here (utah county). I work 9-5 and my weekends are kinda crazy with my wife+2 kids. But I would love to do some ridding before the snow flies. So I'm up for evening ridding or if I can swing it, short trips on the weekend (Sat/Sun). I'm not in the best of shape right now, so I might be slow. I have a truck and am willing to drive shuttle.

    Hey everyone,

My name is Kagan, I'm 29, and I've recently gotten into mountain biking. I bought a Specialized Hardrock Sport 29 in August and I've absolutely fallen in love with the sport. I enjoy single track XC riding with some mild downhill mixed in. I ride mainly in the southern Salt Lake Valley, but next year I'm hoping to make a trip to Moab, Park City, etc.

I know the season is just wrapping up at this point, but if anyone wants to hit up Corner Canyon or Yellow Fork, I would love to meet some people and go. I would consider myself an intermediate/beginner rider. I'm planning on going to Corner Canyon tomorrow afternoon (October 11th) weather permitting. If anyone is interested in going, let me know and we can meet up as long as you don't mind me slowing you down.

My name is James. I got into mtb'ing a couple of years ago. Living in northern Utah. A group of us go down to St. George during the winter months. During the warmer months we usually ride the Snowbasin, Sardine, icebox area at least 1-2 times a week. Sometimes we'll hit Bobsled and other trails.

    Hi, I'm Bill.
I live on the east side of Murray. I ride a Giant Trance and love to ride just about anything and everything.
Besides Wasatch area trails, I try to make a trip at least a couple times a year to Moab, St George and Grand Junction/Fruita.
Corner canyon tends to be my go-to weekday trail system where a ride just isn't complete without a climb up and ride down Jacob's Ladder. I tend to ride several times a week in CC either morning or evening from snow melt to snow fall with a few snuck in-between. Love a good night ride with lights as well.
I have been lurking here on MTBR for a while and just realized this regional forum existed.

    Utah Roll Call

Hey everyone, first post here. Lurked for a week, used some of the advice found to decide on what to buy, and just today picked up a specialized fs (kinda seems like there are a lot of specialized riders in this regional group). Really excited to have a bike again!

I'm almost 30 now, and haven't ridden for a while. I'm about a dozen years older and almost 70 lbs (yikes, haha) heavier than when I used to ride. Used to race xc in corner canyon on an old gt hardtail. Loved riding, excited to pick it back up.

Live in Riverton/Herriman area. Hoping to find a few new trails out in this neck of the woods.

Just joined the forum but not new to UT or Mnt biking. Since 2009 I've riding more and more every year and last year sold my '97 Specialized FSR Elite and picked up a 2013 Yeti SB95. At that time is when I really became OBSESSED with mountain biking. Averaging 3-4 times a week. Wanting to start the IMC races this year, but am doing summer school so we'll see.

Currently live in Pleasant Grove, married and have a child (4 legged kind) and am definitely looking for people to ride since the majority of my friends now do MX or just hike. Anyways, hit me up if your up for a ride around the AF Canyon area during the week days or anywhere else on the weekends!

Hi my name is Ricky and I'm old and slow, really low, even if at one time I was pretty fast, we move to SLC from San Francisco 4 years ago and I usually ride the shoreline because is close to the house in Gilmer park (near 9th and 9th)

Have many bikes but I'm mostly ride seven of them on "Rotation" or just whatever I feel like riding that day or weather permits..

Ps: sorry if I slow you down going up dry/city creek, I try to move over the minute I hear you coming..

    Utah Roll Call

What's up everyone, new to the forum and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been riding everything from BMX to Road to Mtn for all my life.

My current setup is an AL Santa Cruz Bronson that I've done quite a bit too. I love it. I mostly ride Corner Canyon, specifically Jacobs, Maple Hollow and Rush. I don't mind climbing for the exercise, but downhill is my favorite. I enjoy a good Bobsled ride every now and then too, corner is just more convenient cause I'm closer.

I also enjoy Moab and St George, but those trips are few and far in between.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Here's a pic from a ride this morning.

Looking at purchasing a 29er HT right now, currently only have a road bike. Millcreek area is where I'm located and looking forward to hitting the trails again. It's been over 12 years since I've had a Mtn Bike, so really starting to get excited to get back out there.

if i were in the market for a 29er hardtail, I'd look at a kona honzo. I've never ridden one, but from everything I've read, they're so much fun.

I'm actually talking to the owner of this bike Niner EMD9 2013 - Buy and Sell and Review Mountain Bikes and Accessories right now. What are your thoughts on it, anyone? From what I've read about the frame it sounds like a great setup, and the component list looks good. Let me know what the general thought is on this bike.

Hey everyone! New to this forum. From Logan, but moved to Ogden. Just got into road biking and mountain biking. I ride a Felt F75 for my road bike and a Trek 3700 special edition. I've ordered my Airborne Goblin and will soon be hitting the trails with her. I'm still not experienced to be extreme but I do love hitting the single track. Hope to see you guys out there soon!

Hey guys what's up? New to the forum and to serious mtn biking in general. Trying to figure out the best way to learn the ropes in downhill and freeriding--if you have any suggestions, tips, invititations, whatever--let me know. Thanks

You can come ride with us. We ride everything from slickrock trails/mesas to downhill/freeride stuff. We usually have 2-4 of us with different skill levels and encourage everyone to do as much or as little as they feel comfortable. Me my Brothers and a few friends all just discovered mountain biking within the last few years as well, so we'd be a good group to start with. We all come from motorcycle/motocross type backgrounds so we aren't new to two wheels, just the pedaling

That's super nice of you bro. I'm still waiting for the local shops to get the stock of the bike I want in, but would definitely be super grateful to have people to ride with.

I'm Scott. I've been riding since 2002 but took an 8 year break once I got married and had a couple kids. I just picked up an '15 Stumpy Evo Comp to complement my' 04 Enduro Pro. Mid April I'll be moving to Lehi and am looking forwards to riding all the trails out there.

My name is Scott. I've been mountain biking since high school but took a 10 year break while I was married. I'm getting back into it again now and enjoy finding new trails and riding areas. I live in Tooele but travel all over Utah on weekends.

I am new to the forums, but a long time UT MTBer.

    name: Brady

    age: 46

    location: South Jordan

preferred riding: Most everything, Pipeline is my go to trail

I have been mountain biking UT since 1998 when I moved here. I still have an old 2003 Kona Kula Deluxe HT (I'll post a pic later). I have probably done more riding last summer than any year so far, and I am still improving. I plan on upgrading to a 27.5 FS next spring.

Hi all, I'm new to the forums here.

    Name: Kody
    Location: Logan
Preferred riding: I ride lots of trails and am leaning more towards xc so I can do racing.

I've been seriously getting into mountain biking recently. I ride a specialized rockhopper 29er and love getting out. I'm looking for people to ride with so I can increase my skills and get to know some mountain bikers!

Been living in Utah for almost 11 years but just joined the forum sooo...

    Name: Bret
    Home: Moab
Occupation: Gubmint, aka I work for the city
    Bike: Transition Carbon Patrol 2
Misc: Started mountain biking on a fully rigid Mongoose in Phoenix back in 1994-ish and haven't stopped. Married, one son, both of whom also ride.
Favorite Trail in Moab: Sidewinder. Next favorite? Everything else, except Slickrock. I hate Slickrock. Bores me to death.

Great forum, and happy to be here.

Also been in UT for a long time (Ď07) but new to mtbr.com forums.
    Name: John
    Home: Davis County
    Occupation: infosec
    Bike: BMC Fourstroke

At my age, Iím mostly an XC rider. I take corners slower than most, donít do drops all that fast, and just really enjoy a good rigorous ride. I ride all overódaily on BST, occasionally on Antelope, Corner Canyon, Yellow Fork, etc. I am branching out a bit on locationsóbeen to Moab and enjoy Slickrock, but not much else there (more technical than I enjoy) although there are a few places I still want to try. Planning on several trips to STG and so my to-do list there is quite long. For my birthday this summer, I am taking the day off to ride Wasatch Crest.

Happy to find the forum and looking forward to meeting members on the trail IRL.

I'm Kevin, in Magna. Been hanging out here off and on for a bit but I just noticed this thread.

I'm an old slow overweight clyde who's been riding off and on for years, but I'm pretty serious about it now and I'm on the trails as much as possible. I ride an old Fuji Outland 29er XC bike with lot of little upgrades and a newer Diamondback El Oso fatbike that's still mostly stock except for the extra 29x3 wheelset. I like XC and the milder black diamond trails, I'm trying to get into long distance riding and bikepacking. My favorite areas to ride so far are Antelope Island, Goodwater Rim, and the Gooseberry Mesa area. My favorite discrete trail is probably Crest, but Strawberry Narrows is a close second.

Hope to catch some of you on the trails!

What's up ya'll? I'm new to Utah. I moved here last December to Sandy and had my first season mountain biking this summer. Needless to say I'm very humbled and the challenging nature of the sport. My ribs still kinda hurt after falling over my handle bars in between Park City & Canyons in August!

I'm mid-thirties and looking to improve my technique, my gear, and continue to grow in confidence.

I work in Lehi and my office is moving near the new Sensai trail at Traverse Mountain. I'm hoping to get many more miles in next season
