    Upper Porcupine Rim questions

Do any of the local shuttle go up to Hazard or Kokoepeli Trail. And what is the current legal status on trail access? Just how far up can you start?

As of the end of May shuttles would take you up there. It was like $20 per person from Poison Spider.

During the summer you can easily get up above Upper Porc. Have the Porcupine Shuttle take you up to Hazard, or Burro Down if the snow is clear. Most of the shuttle companies in town will take you as high as trail conditions permit. By mid sept to early Oct, you may only be able to get as high as Hazard.

It's always safe to assume that the legal status of that trail is questionable. I would suggest you catch a shuttle all the way up to the top of Hazzard... whether or not you chose to include UPS on your way back down can be your little secret.

Coyote Shuttle will take you to the top of Geyser Pass, where it's just a short ride to the Burro Pass Trail Head, if you wanted to do Burro Down (The Whole Enchalada). The price varries with the amount of people they have to take up there.

UPS is currently closed for "possible" raptor nesting and so archeological sites are not disturbed that are along the trail "area". There is one sign (only) at each end saying it's closed. Enter at your own risk of heavy fines, lightning from above, and many many flat tires.
