In a typical year, how high can you start on TWE first week of November?

Snow free.. Hazard County? Kokopelli? UPS? None of it? I know every year is different but just wondering what is typical/average at those elevations that time of year.

Found a lot of posts about thanksgiving weekend but wondering if first week of november differs a lot, thanks!

last year it was open most of November I believe from the top. Haven't paid attention recently. IMO if you can't get hazard it's not worth doing anything more the Porcupine rim down. Jimmy Keen is boring and just adds to the shuttle length.

It's not worth it for UPS/LPS? I always read those were great sections?

UPS/LPS is one of my favorite parts of TWE. You can take Kokopelli instead of Jimmy Keen to the start of UPS.

I don't think last year was typical. UtahMountainBiking says Jimmy Keen is usually open to Mid-October. When I rode TWE for the first time in early October, Burro Pass had snow and we started from Hazard.

Yes, do UPS/LPS. Those are good.

Jimmy Keen isn't part of TWE.

Shuttle drop for Jimmy Keen is the same pullout as for Kokopelli down; once you start, it's your choice - Jimmy Keen singletrack, or Kokopelli doubletrack. Both lead you to the UPS/LPS/Porcupine goodness.

By November it's anyone's guess; Porcupine Rim could be snowed in and icy, or it could be 70 degrees and sunny up to Hazard. No way of knowing which until the day you're here.
