    trip advice for November

    Hi,

we're a couple of Brits thinking of heading across to the Moab Fruita area for some mountain bike riding. The time we have off for vacation is end of October into the first week of November, so only a few weeks from now.

What's the weather like at that time? Is it still ok to get out and ride, or is it getting too wet & cold to be out? We're looking to travel around and ride some of the classics - we ride mainly singletrack here in the UK and in Europe, typically 3-6 hour epic rides. We're pretty used to weird weather over here in the uk, but it would be good to have some sunshine and good weather on holiday!

We want to book flights and make arrangements in the next couple of days, so it would be great to hear from you with some advice.

    thanks.

    Great time for Fruita/Moab

Late October is generally great weather around Fruita and Moab. It can be a little chilly (50F high temps), and it can possibly rain, no guarantees, but generally things are really good, and high 60s(F) to low 70s(F).

Starting October 27, the Reincarnation of the Halloween Bike Fest is in Moab. Can be a lot of fun......

Agreed, great time for a trip over here. I'm a little north of there and planning a couple late season riding trips down to Moab/Fruita towards the middle/end of October. I've been there numerous times and last year we went right at the end of October and it was the best riding weather I've seen, great for camping as well. Not to say this year will bring that, desert weather is always a little tough to judge but it should be good.

    50 degree Fahrenheit = 10 degree Celsius
    60 degree Fahrenheit = 15 degree Celsius
