    Traveling to SLC area

I'll be in Utah for business most of next week and and considering making a Friday and Saturday out of it before heading home on Sunday. My business is in the Promontory area, but will migrate down to somewhere based on what accommodations I can find on Airbnb (unless a fellow MTB'r has an extra room for the weekend and wouldn't mind making a new friend).

I figure I'm good for 1-2 hrs of riding on beginner to easy-intermediate trails on either Friday or Saturday as I've gotten a little bit out of shape over the past few weeks. The rest of the time, I'd like to do some general hiking and city 'sploring, as my other hobby is photography. I saw some good hikes listed on, now I just need some ideas where to ride and where to rent from (it's going to be fun squeezing a bike into a dinky rental), as well as some alternative hike suggestions not listed on and other primo photo op locations.

Thanks, and hope to run into some of ya'll.

No need to drive all the way to SLC when you will be so close to Logan and Ogden.

You could hike around Tony Grove Lake and get some nice pictures. Then head to Snowbasin and ride your bike up to the Coldwater Canyon Overlook for some more photo ops.

Corner Canyon sounds like it is exactly what you're looking for although all the suggestions are great.
I'm a mountain bike guide in southwest Utah
