    Stolen Bike - SLC

After a long day of MBA classes (9-5:30), I was relieved that I could finally go home and get some rest and dinner. Turns out, somebody had stolen my 2006 Specialized Stumpjumper so they could get home faster I assume. The person must have been hungrier than I was. Anyway, if anybody happens to see a large frame, blue Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp with new, white Deity Decoy pedals, XTR cranks and rear derailleur, S-Works carbon riser bars, black alloy Thomson stem, please send me a message.

The bike was stolen from the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City.

When are people going to learn not to ride nice bikes to school/ the bar/ work?

Do you have any pics? These often seem to end up at pawn shops downtown or being cruised around Pioneer Park.

F-Yeah Bro! We are building up a pretty good batting average on recovered bikes here. I hope you get your rig.

Thanks, guys! It was a stroke of incredible luck that I came across it. I just hope to get it back before the 14th since I may be making a trip down to Moab. I'm not to hopeful of that, but I did pick up a beat up Prophet for super cheap that I could ride down there.

Mind saying how it got down there?

A little bird dropped the hint that one of the used bike places (not the BC) in town is acting as a bike chop-shop of sorts. Nothing really unexpected, I guess.

I luckily found it listed online by a local shop (not a bike related shop). I'm just glad that I added some parts and did a little wrenching on the bike to help identify it as being mine. It looked exactly the way it did in the photos as it did the day it was stolen. I've been trying to remember every single unique feature on the bike no matter how small, which is difficult, especially since I only had it for a week.
