STAY OFF Bear Poppy, Stucki Springs, two more days

With all the rain the Bear Poppy trail's are slick. Give the clay a few more days of drying and they will be awesome. Try Pioneer Rim to City Creek and over to Paridise canyon if your in need or Church Rock's. These are the sandy rides in the area and they are in awesome shape. A couple of times today 12/2/07 I got sideways in the slick stuff mostly the shady parts and the dips where the wind didn't dry them. Thanks.

    More Rain!

We are getting more rain so these trail are getting very slick. Help keep them in good shape by staying off of them. They are not nearly as fun when your front end is slidding around anyway.
It's a good time to try something else, Pioneer Rim to City Creek to Paradise Canyon, Church Rocks or Barrel Rolls.

If you want to ride in the same area as Bear Claw Poppy, but without the clay, stick to The Barrel Trail, and the Zen. Both of these trails are in awesome shape right now, and shed water very well.

    A little bit longer

It may take a bit longer to dry out, we've had a lot of rain. We needed it.
There are some very good suggestions on this thread that should keep you busy.
All of the bad trails mentioned have lot's of yellow and red/blue clay. They rut out easy when wet and dry almost as hard as concrete. Hopefully without the ruts That's half the reason these trails are so fun. They are so fast and smooth. Please, let's save them for better day's

    Still not ready

Better wait a little longer. The clay is still wet because of the freezing at night. The moisture doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Except on my bike.
