    st. george trails recommendations

Rolling in at 5 this afternoon. Like to get a quick one in this afternoon and then all day tomorrow. Any recommendations? Thinking About gooseberry mesa in the morning and maybe Zen in the afternoon. Would like to stop and ride thunder on the way in if anybody wants to shuttle it around 4. Thanks, Chuck.
If you ever see a turtle on a telephone pole, remember he had help getting there. Is there anything beer can't do?

Thunder Mountain doesn't need a shuttle. There's a paved bike path between the 2 trail heads. Little Creek Mountain south of Gooseberry is a blast but hard to find.
Go 1 street west of the Scenic Byway that leads to Goose from highway 59 and head south. The road will soon turn east. At the first turn go south for 5 miles, ignoring roads in other directions. There will be a 4 way junction with and ancient horse corral on the left, turn RIGHT. When the road T's go left till the road gets lousy at slickrock and PARK!
Trail head is about 200 yards farther down the lousy road and right thru trees.
    Careful it's haunted.
If you like downhill, check out Grafton Mesa off Goose's northern edge.
Zen is short but difficult, ride when cool.

I highly recommend Rockville Bench/Slickrock Swamp. This can be done in 2-4 hours depending on how much you play around.
