Going down to GB, and curious if anyone has rode SS there???? i know it's a lot like Slick Rock, but wondering about the trails. Any info would be appreciated.

gooseberry is great on any bike. i rode there on my 29er single with 32-18 and it was great. the hurricane/gould/gem loop below the mesa is not to be missed.

I haven't ridden there on a singlespeed, but I often ride a singlespeed. I think Gooseberry is a great place to ride a singlespeed! I think I'd probably run a 32/19 or 32/20. I normally run a 32/18 for So Cal.

Gooseberry is awesome on a singlespeed. Might want to gear down 2 teeth, or bring an extra cog just in case.

Gooseberry is actually great on almost every kind of bike except maybe something with a high-post extreme xc type position.

Sweet! I'm looking forward to some epic riding. What gear ratio are you using in the pic?? Thanks for all the good info.

Been a while since I had my SS down there, but I think that was a 34x22. I also used a 34x20 which was fine, but found that the smaller gear was more fun for playing on the steep sandstone. That is why you should take a couple of options - so you can dial it in.

Lots of Gooseberry pics here, many different bike-types:

Nice pics. I ride a 34:20 gear ratio, so I suspect that will work. Thanks again.
