Snowbasin lift assit open to Oct. 7th

We typically do lift assist at DV (park bike), PC and Canyons (AM/Trail bikes) and have never been to SB without the white stuff on the ground. Are the Snowbasin trails worth the 1 hour drive from PC now that DV is closed after this weekend? And, if so, what type of bike do you recommend for the medium to harder trails? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Snowbasin has good XC trails but I wouldn't drive there for lift assist riding. You can ride all the trails there on a normal trail bike. This time of year I've just ridden up Team Big Bear/Flagstaff to hit some of the mid Deer Valley trails. The tram at Snowbird is probably still running where you could lap the Big Mountain trail also.

Snowbasin is worth it for 1 day/year of lift serve, if you like lift riding. It's very rocky (tough on tires). There is basically 2 ways down, one int/adv, the other intermediate the whole way. No gnar, nor jumps. XC type riding.

    Good luck.

Thanks guys, just debating whether to stay local and hit mid-DV, mid-mountain, Pinecone, ride Crescent chair, etc. or venture out and do something new other than PC, DV, Round Valley or Corner Canyon areas.

Not related to Snowbasin, but I spent a week in Utah in August, and ventured past Park City, to ride High Star Ranch in Kamas, and had a blast, trails were super well built. have to pedal yourself to the top, but it's closer.
