    Snow in November

Does it snow up in Burro Down/Hazard county/kokopelli 1st week of November? What are the chances?

    I would guess

There is about a 70% probability that those trails will be snow free the first week in nov.

Ok i would like to reguesstimate my guestimate

I am going to go with a 50/50 shot. My advice would be to plan your trip, but be prepared to ride the lower elevation trails if the conditons are poor up high.

I rode Kokapelli/UPS/LPS the first weekend in NOV last year. I wore shorts and shortsleeve. That being said, anything can happen. I say 50/50 too.

I guess i will just have to keep an eye out on the weather. I guess the main concern on doing the whole enchilada in november is Burro down due to high altitude. But man, can it really be that unpredictable? i will keep an eye out for this for sure.

    Gents,

Thanks for all the positive and informative input. I am awfully taking a bit of a chance for disappointment if the weather doesn’t cooperate and sadly I will have finalize my plans without Moab.  However, there is also, next year  Woot woot!! Which leads me to my next question. Is July too early for the Burro down?

    Stop

Don't spend all your time waiting for perfect weather. Go and ride, and make the most of it. You might end up waiting forever for just the right day. There will be good trails to ride in early Nov. Its possible that the high stuff will be tits, and also possible it will suck ass. If you don't go you will never know.

July will be hot as you get down onto Porc Rim. Why not just go in September when your chances of being able to do BD are pretty high?

If the first week in November is your only option for this year, there's still plenty of great rides in Moab then even if BD is closed. Just go man.

Just go when u can and adjust to the weather, even if it snows high you can still ride kok down which is still some total sweetness! If you can make it up to burro even better!

I just got back from a 5 day trip. It was pretty much perfect. Even on the warm side.

Was on Burro last Monday and it was good to go...even though we fought *two* hailstorms on the way down!
