    Schwalbe Tire Choice for Moab?

I have a collection of 650b Schwalbe tires to choose from for my upcoming trip to Moab.

I've never been to Moab what is the most suitable combo from the following list of tires I have?

    Nobby Nic 2.25" & 2.35"
    Hans Dampf 2.25" & 2.35"
    Magic Mary 2.35"
    Rock Razor 2.35"

I'm going to mostly look for trails that are intermediate to advanced - Magnificent 7, Slick Rock & The Whole Enchilada from roughly Hazard County down (going in May).

Yeah, pretty much anything sticks well to the rock. That said, I've run the nobby nics (evo) down there and hated them, not enough off camber support with the very soft side knobs, and wore down really quick. I've got a buddy who runs the hans dampf and loves it. The rock razor's knobs look a little small for the sand traps. I'd probably choose between the Magic Mary and Hans Dampf.
I'm looking forward to regretting this.......

I currently run Rock Razor rear and Hans Dampf front. I used to run a Magic Mary front, but it is a heavy piece of rubber that I felt on long climbs.

The Rock Razor is fine as long as it's dry. It does wear fast, since it's pretty close to a slick.

I may go to HD front and rear, I'm pleased with the tire so far.

The only problem with most Schwalbe tires for Moab is that they are expensive and wear out too fast on rock. Other then that, MM/HD, HD/HD, HD/NN would all be good combos.

Whatever ones are already the most worn out.

What Walt said or get some Maxxis. The Schwalbes turn to slicks in Moab.
Can't keep track anymore - Giant, Santa Cruz, Pivot, Yeti, Norco, Salsa, Intense - if it rolls on dirt I like it

Was out there riding this past October and ran the MM up front and the Maxxis DHR II for the back and worked great for me. Rode TWE, Ahab, Mag 7 and a few others.

The Minion DHF/DHR II is a great combo for Moab.

The first thing I do when I go to Moab is take my Schwalbes off. As mentioned, by others. I like 26x2.4 Maxxis Ardents. But, almost any wide tire with moderately aggressive tread will work. Think, float through sand, off camber square edge, and good wear. 100 miles in Moab will eat through $150 worth of Schwalbe.
