    rides/places to stay southern Utah

A group of us from a shop in Prescott Arizona are heading to southern Utah en route to the Interbike show in September. We will be in on Sat the 24th of Sept. and will ride on sunday and monday. Can anyone recommend a place to stay for 6 and also a couple of 2-4 hour rides for us.
    Thanks,
    John

    Rides

Gooseberry and littlecreek in Hurricane I'm sure you know about, great rides. Another one I like in St. George is Broken Mesa, not 4 hrs but fun. As for places to stay I haven't found any great lodging, food or drink in the area but those first two rides make up for it.

I love Springdale Utah, or even the cabins in Zion National Park at the Lodge. Just minutes from Gooseberry and Little Creek if you take the Back Road Scenic Drive through Rockville. Great place to stay if you can find a room. Eat at the Bit and Spur, one of my favorites. There is also a trial called Rockville Bench or Slickrock Swamp trail close to Springdale. It is a good trail also. There is a nice camping/RV park in Virgin, Utah that I highly recommend if you like that sort of thing. It is away from shops and places to eat though.

Hurricane, Utah would be a place to stay that puts you close to Gooseberry and Little Creek. It is a nice small town, places to eat, movie theatre, hotels, etc.

Then there is St. George. Lots of amenities but farther from the best riding areas. But only about a half hour farther.

My choice would be Springdale. Close to Zion and the best riding trails.
