Renting a hitch rack in late April

We will be flying into SLC and driving to Moab where we will need a rack for 4 bikes. I have a 1up at home which is fantastic but the only rental place I heard from says they only have hangers which would not be a very good idea for our carbon bikes. Anyone have a wheel lock rack they would be willing to rent for the week or maybe even thinking of buying a 1up which I could help to subsidize? The cost of shipping my rack just doesn't make sense and where we rented a van in the past for 3 I don't think that will work with 4 people. Very interested in ideas! Thanks.

I don't know how you feel about carbon bikes on a truck gate pad, but have you considered that? You could rent a pickup in SLC (though probably not cheap) and easily fit 4 bikes across the gate. I have a pad you could borrow.

I have a Yakima hitch rack with two stand up mounts. I live in SLC. The Yakima rack is basically a hitch mounted roof rack type deal. It has two Frontloader mounts on it and I just found two front fork mounts with short trays. This could work for you.

I have a 4 bike 1Up, with one tray setup for fatbike width tires. I live about 30 miles East of SLC (Park City). PM me if interested.

Do you need to pick up the rack in SLC or Moab?

Let me know your dates. I have a 3 bike 1-Up that might be available depending on what the spousal unit decides we are doing.

Four spot Yakima holdup 2 (unit + extension)
I'm roughly in the middle area of the salt lake valley close by a freeway exit. You would be passing near this way driving to Moab.
Pm me with proposal and dates if you don't find one in Moab and are interested.
