    Recommendations for JEM Network Ride

Looking for recommendations on the best way to ride the JEM area trails for maximum fun. I haven't ridden any of the newer stuff in that area (dead ringer, cryptobionic, goosebumps, etc.), only the old school Gould's Rim, JEM, Hurricane Rim loop back in the day. With how good the mesa rides are in that area, I kind of gave up on JEM several years ago but am thinking I should check it out again with all the new additions.

Any suggested routes to get the most out of what is there?

    Many thanks in advance!

I start at the outhouse at the bottom of Cryptobiotic, so I can finish with going down Dead Ringer and Crypto, and not have to climb at the end of the ride. Definitely worth it.
I got some bad ideas in my head.

We start down in Virgin, ride all the way up JEM, hook a left on Cryptobionic which takes you to Dead Ringer. We climb Dead Ringer before circling More Cowbell and then haul the mail back down JEM.

This is the way I most enjoyed doing it as well.

Start at the bottom of JEM on highway 9. Ride up to the intersection with Hurricane Rim, approx, 1.8 miles. Go up that to the bathroom. Take Cryotobionic to the parking area. Go up Cryoto/dead ringer. Stay left onto Crypto. Take the next left (unsigned). Follow that all the way up the wash/road/trail. Hook onto Goosebumps. Stay on Goosebumps all the way until it crosses JEM. Cross and link to Dead Ringer. Follow dead ringer up to More Cowbell. Do all of more cowbell and head up to the parking area off 59. Link to JEM and then follow JEM all the way back to your car.

    You're welcome

I generally like riding up first on my rides, but for some reason Iíve always started at the top of JEM. Lots of ways to do it and I donít think you can go wrong with any, but the last few times Iíve enjoyed going down Dead Ringer all the way to where it connects to JEM then turn down China Wash then right on Hurricane Rim back to where it connects with JEM down to the parking lot. Then on the climb back up Iíll do JEM to Crypto to Dead Ringer then loop More Cowbell, then finish on Dead Ringer.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I didn't get a chance to ride the JEM area when I was down there last week, as I only ended up getting 2 days to ride and the mesas were calling loudly... but I'm looking forward to hitting it up in one of my upcoming trips.

The mesa's are always the better choice.

How is Jem, Goose Bumps...looking after the most recent rains? We are thinking about heading out that way today and riding tomorrow.

They are all perfect right now. A few puddles here and there but good to go.
