    Pictures of Gooseberry Please!

It's winter where I am and I need some inspiration to go the gym and get ready for a St. George/Gooseberry Trip I'll be taking in April.

    Happy New Year All!

Hey. My friend and I went to Hurricaine for Christmas. If you go to the Idaho, montana, Wyoming forum and look at the thread "70 degrees for Christmas" you will see lotsa our pics. It was super fun. Check it out!

A trip to Gooseberry in October, right after Interbike. In particular, I really enjoy Hidden Canyon Trail.

    Cheers,

    Thank you to All!

Just what I needed! I cannot wait to go! The pictures have given me a new question- Singlespeed or dually?

Take a few cogs so that you can get the gearing just perfect. I found that the Goosberry trails are very intelligently designed and that the rhythm is perfect for SS bikes. You might lose some of the punchy goodness on a FS.

It really depends on what kind of riding you are looking for. I can see how riding Goose on a single could be fun, but for me and my clan, we all ride 6 inch bikes. We like to hit all the drops along the way, and create new lines. Either way, you are going to have a blast.

    Based on your photos...

...it looks like you guys never touched the rock. You just hovered all day. ;-)

    I think those pictures

are pretty amazing. I'm not one to do those kind of drops but limit myself to technical cross country trails here in NJ. The biggest drops I do typically fall in the range of 1-2 feet and I doubt my dually (an Intense Tracer) could really handle the extreme drops you guys are doing. Hopefully I'll be able to find some baby drops that I'll be able to handle!

    Doesn't matter.

You can't go wrong with whatever bike you bring. That's what makes for truly great trails, you can enjoy them however you want. And Goosberry is a truly great trail system. Rigid singlespeed grunting, technical XC ledges, big bike drops and huge lines. They are all there, so just bring your favorite bike and pick a line. Guaranteed grins.
