    Park city fat bikers rollcall

I guess I will have to start something. I am 63 and have been riding on a fatbike for 3 years, I usually ride with my wife, or if she is working alone or with my dog. live in Highland Estates and ride round valley trails ,Robs & DuBois or Prospector. We have fresh snow out there today, lets get out and pack it down.
would like to have others to ride with, off Fri, Sat, & Sun.

I will be out there in a few weeks once I get my frame back from powdercoat and scrounge up all the parts. I am hoping there are enough of us to keep some of the fun lower elevation singletrack at the south end of the basin packed down - ie 24-7/Glenwild stuff.

My commute home from dropping the kids at daycare is usually Collin's/Rob's/UOP but I think the UOP trails are ski only, right?

Gotta go wax skis and strip down non-fat bikes...

We had 6-8 inches in Jeremy. Hoping we get more tonight!

Sunday there was 4"-6" of light drifty snow at Round Valley. I only saw 1 other Fatbiker out there. I pushed up Rambler to 7101 hoping others would follow. I was able to ride all of it back down. Mountain trails had sledpacked some of the ski trails. some snow today maybe 2" Should be good for turkey day.
Walt UOP has the ski only trails but the dog park trail might be legal, just watch where your tire goes.

FYI, I went out on skis at Round Valley today and IMO it would be polite to stay off the groomers until we get some more snow. They kinda sorta groomed but there's not really enough snow so it's soft/thin. Hikers were *trashing* it, fatbikes would blow right through.

Supposed to be in the high 40s by Wednesday... sigh.

Julian at White Pine Touring (bikes) is trying to get a list of people willing to help pack the trails. This would usually require snowshoeing first, but with enough people no one would have to snowshoe too far. At places like Round Valley and Lost Prospector the close in trails get packed pretty fast but those farther from the trailheads are seldom packed.
This would be a great way to make bigger loops available.
