    Ogden Trails Shin-Dig Fundraiser

The Ogden Trails annual fundraiser is Thursday, May 7th from 6:00pm-8:30. We've got tons of bike swag up for raffle & our silent auction. We have work stands, Shimano & Sram groups, 2 pairs of ENVE wheels (any size), Mavic wheels, Scott frames, action cameras, & much more! There will be adult beverages, food, & entertainment (including some bad ass freestylers). The cost is only $10.00 each. A portion of the auction will also go to the Ogden Bike Park. Details will be posted on our Facebook page over the next 3 weeks.https://www.facebook.com/events/468283303328611/

Bleh on being a Thursday. I use the park but I live in Provo, if it were a Friday night or a Saturday, I'd be there. Any chance on bidding remotely?

It's common practice to have fundraising events on weekdays. Businesses do not like to donate their services on their busiest days. Sorry, you must be present.

I don't know if I could convince anyone to go in my place, but I'll try.

Question from an Ogdenite: We have Weber Pathways and Ogden Trails. Why two organizations for such a small area? What's the difference between the two?

Compared to other places, it seems like Utah's trail organizations are small and fragmented. It doesn't seem like that helps with routes/trails that might span more than one of the fragmented regions.

Ogden Trails maintains the trails in Ogden City. Weber Pathways maintains the trails in Weber County outside Ogden. There is plenty of work for everybody. We just finished building the Blue Ribbon trail & the Weber State Discovery trail in Ogden, & Weber Pathways is currently building the new BST trail in North Ogden. We have a synergistic relationship.

Ogden Trails & our volunteers put in over 2,500 hours of volunteer time last year alone. Ogden Trails, Weber Pathways, & the USFS are having a meet and great tomorrow at the 22nd St trailhead if you'd like to learn more.

Silent auction swag usually goes for about half of retail. If I wasn't a member of OTN, I'd pick up a pair of the ENVE wheels myself. We sold a pair last year for $600.00 (King hubs).

    Hope to see you there!

Hmm... I've never been to a silent auction let alone an auction, but being able to pick up a pair of ENVE's for $600 is very tempting. What kind of payments are accepted? Credit/Debit cards? Cash only?

Credit cards are excepted. We are auctioning off ENVE gift certificates (any wheel size). We hope they will go for $1,000.00+ though. Retail is usually $2,200.00-$2,800.00.
