Is Nov still good for Moab?

Seems like Oct is a popular month to go- Is November too cold or unfavorable for any other reason?

Also because I will more than likely be riding solo will the popular trails like Slickrock, Sov and Fins and Things being seeing traffic or will I have to pony up for a guide?

    Thanks!
I guarantee I will never, ever be accused of bringing sexy back...

I'm also considering a November trip. It will be a detour from a trip I have to take for work, so I will also be riding solo. Anybody have any info?

November is hit or miss with weather but still generally pretty good. Worst case is it's a little cold, but the trail conditions are probably going to be fine then. If you guys don't want to ride alone, I could maybe be talked into a weekend trip in November... And I'm probably not the only one.

    Moab in November, 2007

Yes - it is hit or miss for sure. Went out there last year for Thanksgiving:

Thursday - sunny, in mid 50's:

    Friday - 8" of snow, mid 30's:

I've skied The Canyons 1/2 day and drove to Moab a few years back, during the drought years...its cool at night for camping but liveable. If its dry Moab is low desert compared to Fruita and its great, not a soul around...typically that holiday Sunday snows and the highways are a mess!

I'd suggest getting a hotel instead of camping. It gets real dark early and can get cold at night.

    Going Nov. 14-16 weekend

My buddy and me are going to be there next weekend. 14th - 16th.
It's our first time in Moab and stoked to be there. we're avid riders and can ride most technical stuff.

    Our ride plan is:
    4-5 hours on Friday
    Full day Saturday
    3-4 hours on Sunday

We probably want to do at least 1-2 shuttle runs. and 1-2 rides from town.
    Any recommendations?
