Need a quick Moab ride suggestion!

My buddy and I are doing an adventure race in Moab tomorrow and we won't be able to get a shop while they are open so I'm looking for some advice. Looking to head out early sunday morning and get in ~2 hour ride. Not looking for anything crazy as he rides a 29er hardtail. Any recommendations? We could shuttle so a point to point is an option. Thanks in advance.

Horsethief Mesa has a series of short trails that make various loops so you can weave a couple together. Beginner to slightly intermediate. Go out Hwy 313 and park at the Horsethief Mesa campground or just past that on the left is another parking area.

Awesome! Thanks! I'll look into those. Forgot to say that we were intermediate riders

You'd still have fun on Horsethief, just ride faster😊 Or you can try the Navajo Rocks trails, about seven miles out highway 313, parking on the right, 5 trails with up to 17 miles of riding.

I'd recommend Navajo Rocks or upper Mag 7.

For Navajo I like the lower Ramblin / Rocky Tops best and be sure to drop down Ramblin to catch that great descent at the top.

I drive down Gemini Bridges Road from Hwy 313 and park at Auth's TH then climb Getaway and drop Bull Run.

Both are mostly intermediate but plenty of gnar to get your rock legs in shape.

Leaving Moab for Fruita this Saturday morning.

    This should keep you busy.
If you want a taste of the Mag 7 as a loop instead of a shuttle, you could ride Bull Run to Arth's Corner to Little Canyon ST and back on Great Escape and Getaway. I'm guessing that's 15 miles or so. The most challenging aspect from the hardtail point of view would be the first 5 miles on Bull Run.
