... and if we just ... My Christmas Heckler

Hey everybody, here is my lovely orange and white Heckler that i have been dreaming about! I personally love the way that it turned out. what do you think?

I built it from the frame up, so it is just what i wanted!

    Marzocchi AM1 SL
    Fox RP23
    Mango King Headset
    Mango King Heavy duty hubs
DT 5.1 hoops (set up tubeless)
    XO rear der.
    XT cranks
    Answer pro taper OS bars
    Thomson 70mm stem
    Avid Juicy 7 brakes
    Lizard Skin lock-on grips

I am coming off of a Kona Coiler, so this is quite a change for me. Coming from a bike that weighed 41 pounds to a Heckler that weighs 32, its quite the leap.

i was worried that it might have trouble on some of the drops and jumps that the Coiler loved. not to worry, the heckler actually feels better on the jumps, and just as solid on the drops. the biggest one that i have tried so far is about 7 feet to tranny.

overall, i am super happy with the bike, and couldnt of asked for more! It pedals like a dream, and flies down the hills. i can go much faster down hill on the heckler than on the Coiler.

anyway, let me know what you think

VERY NICE! Did you unload the Coiler yet? I'd say you made a move in the right direction and I love the white fork and rear combo.

That looks veeery nice. As long as your not grabbing a bunch of brake, single pivots go downhill nice huh? Merry X-Mas! Lets go ride.
Problem: "Bike has trouble going up steep hills."
Fix: Recommend pressing harder on the pedals.

    brake jack

one thing i learned in the past few weeks is that if you put a small rotor on your back brake, you hardly feel and brake jack. its a really cool feeling. you might throw a six incher on the bullit and see what happens

Did that on my last one. Ultimately it doesn't make that big a difference. Oh and welcome to the SC board, muhahahah!

Nice ride Dusty. I have yet to see it in person. Hopfully we'll see you out at Church Rocks in the morn. Don't listen to Wasea! Before long I'll bet he'll be selling that Jamis Dakar ripoff, and just ride his new RFX.
