Moving to Ogden. How is it? Winter?

So I'm military currently in Colorado springs and moving to hill afb up in the Ogden area. I will be there in mid november. I'm assuming winter is similar to here with some dry spells during which you can ride and some snowy weeks where you can't. Looks like there is some decent trail access in town. Anybody around that area? I saw the Ogden bike park and it looks sick. See you soon!

In good snow years, there are a few places where groomed trails are available most of the year round (if you have a fat bike). In bad snow years, you can ride the BST or antelope island year round. Hill AFB is pretty centrally located and has good access to a lot of areas. Snowbasin is right on the other side of the mountain for instance. And you are only about 4 hours from Moab or other Southern Utah gems.

Check out Utahmountainbiking.com if you haven't found it already.

I go to Skyline Cyclery in Ogden on Washington Blvd for a local bike shop. The help changes as usual for most bike shops, but the owner is pretty good.

Thanks for the info. I dont have a fat bike but it seems like normal tires are plus tires nowadays. So I've got that lol. We are trying to get a place on the extreme east side of town for easy trail access.

Ogden bike park is definitely sick. The best ride in Northern Utah is in Ogden...but you'll have to figure out which one I'm talking about

Bobsled looks so cool with the car jumps and drops. How is the pedal getting to the top?

Whoops, you're right, disregard my post, CC is the pinnacle of N. Utah riding.

Easy. It's only about 1k of vert even if you take the "long" way via Dry Creek.

Even though I haven't snowboarded in 3 years now as MTB'ing & sunny destination vacations have taken over, I'd be riding at Snowbasin and Powder Mtn all Winter if I ended up in Ogden. Have fun out there and thank you for your service!!
    Carpe Diem!!
