I'd imagine it's "no go" for a while.

Is she still hooked to the dock or is her friend parasailing?

Has anyone went up and checked it out? Is anything worth riding up there?

    Closed??

I have heard these nasty, vicious, heartbreaking rumors...
    Please clarify;
Has the trail been closed by the forest service? If so what have they done to block or prohibit us from riding it?
Does the trail remain closed due to high water?

I say hell or high water, RIDE!!!

Then I will avoid re-reading that post so as not to rip that person to shreds for saying dumb things.

I have not heard of anyone being ticketed yet, but according to a FS ranger they will ticket you if they see you riding.

As far as I know this is due to the FS trying to rebuild the lower trail and they don't want traffic on it, but it could also be a lame excuse to attempt to close the DH stuff.

I rode from Tanner down last Friday and saw no signs of any sort until the 1st washed out bridge where you 1st come out on LCC road. Trail is in good shape but am hoping someone didn't tear down FS signs @ Tanner? I rode it as I thought it was open but if not I will certainly refrain as I don't want to jeopardize MTB access...

'Troll' carries about as much water as calling someone a 'terrorist' these days. Sh!t I called my cat a Terrorist two years ago back when it was instyle about a year after 'Troll' was worn thin on MTBqueeR.com, for puking up a hairball on my comforter and she just looked at me and called me a Troll. It was then that we both realized it was over and time to move on.

Sincere appologies, but the Forrest Service is currently all out of 1st thru 8th place ribbons. Cut backs. Apparently the economy is in shambles or something. Hope this 9th Place Ribbon will be enough to compensate for your lost DH trail.

    Sincerely,

Well, it's not polite to call someone an idiot that you don't know. Perhaps you could provide a time appropriate outline of internet terminology so we can skip this whole embarrassing snafu in the future.

I know I look like a troll, thanks for pointing it out. I have spent countless hours in therapy working on my self esteem & co-dependency. I must admit your comments sincerely hurt my feel bads! I was so upset I went on a terrible drinking binge. I now have a DUI arrest, my fourth in two months. I do not want to do jail time, so I am now a fugitive from the law. If you happen to see me on LCC bathing in the river & sleeping in the caves, please refrain from name calling, I am a fragile creature. Now at least I can be near my precious, precious DH trail day & night.
On a serious note, PM me for reports & join WAFTA to support the fight for our free-riding rights.

I just think you should be a little more tactful when discussing a bike trail that has seen more than it's fair share of usage issues. There's plenty of people willing to hop the barriers (if they existed) and shred the trail when it's closed but that's not the way to get the upper trail approved.

I'm on my own drinking binge because I've been forced to move away from SLC for the summer, so after my warrants clear with the Mass. state police, I'll hopefully return to some sweet WAFTA goodness.
