    Lambert Park Flood Damage

So the storms we have been experiencing have done extensive damage to Lambert Park in Alpine.
A few weeks ago several local high school bike teams put in many hours of repair work and build an amazing trail. This has been wiped out. The kids are obviously bummed out by this news.
The damage is exponentially worse that a few weeks ago.
Discussions for repair efforts will soon be undertaken and I will post here as decisions are made. I hope a few residents will be able to find a little time to help us as we try to bring these trails back. Thank you.

From Bruce Argyle (who is leading the repair effort):
Here's a tentative schedule for trailwork. Our goal is to get the trails open before wildcats create multiple unsustainable alternates around the damaged area. Yes, it may rain again. We'll take our chances. Unfortunately, we're working around September's racing schedule (High School league races 9/14 and 9/28, Draper Fall 50 9/21, UtCX 9/28.)

Tuesday 9/10 AM: Scouting entire trail system, spot touchup. Estimate work-hours required for various repairs/rebuilds. Bruce plus anyone else with the day off.
Tuesday 9/10 5-7 PM: Flag sections to be rebuilt. Trailhead notices (trails that are out-of-service, notice of upcoming workdays). Bruce/Christian/others?

Wednesday 9/11 8-12 AM: Work on upper Rodeo, upper Spring, Middle Spring. Join Bruce if you're available.

Thursday 9/12 8-12 AM: Join Bruce for spot work River, Middle, Luge.
Thursday 9/12 5-7 PM: Work spot TBA. Bruce and Christian, join us.

Saturday 9/14 8-12 AM: Public workday. ICup racers, USCS racers, lovers of Lambert, please come! Bruce will direct work on Corkscrew, Brown Dog. Time allowing, upper White Dog. Pulaskis, McCleods, shovels, prybars.

Tuesday 9/17 5-7 PM: Zag rebuild. High School cycling league, others as available.

Thursday 9/19 5-7 PM: Work as needed on remaining trail spots.
