    Higher Elevation trails in August?

We're heading to moab the first week of August, obviously we expect it to be hot on the lower popular trails, normally we go in March, but we want to get another trip in this year.

I was curious if there are any moutain bike trails up in the la sals, that might be something new to ride and cooler and where to get info on them. Otherwise we'll stick to early morning and late evening.

    Thanks

No biking on National Forest, some scary folks own the private land (lots of old Uranium mines around there and weird people living near them), and the blm near my bro's land is not really developed. However, I did do a long ride fromthe back gate of his property all the way into the La Sals (probably about a 25 miles ride), it was a multiuse trail and I didn't see another biker but was passed by about 40 dirt bikes and four wheelers coming from the Moab direction.

The trails are there, but you have to hunt for them and be prepared to be adventureous.

Good luck and report back what you find.
