    Eagle Mountain build day

With apologies to those who have long since grown tired of Eagle Mountain Bike Park threads. The park is, once again, ready to be built. We had a pretty good turn out in July before construction was put on hold pending a property issue. The issue has finally been resolved and we are back in business. A bulldozer started to clear the two lower trails this morning. Friday we will have 60-70 dump truck loads of dirt delivered. Saturday we need all the help we can get. We will be finishing the single track trail (about 300 yards remain to be built), building the entrance trail, clearing some trail sections that cross the gas easement, clearing the skills area routes, and probably working on the pump track and ladder bridges. Please bring picks, shovels, tampers, rakes, and hoes if you have them. We will have a dozen McLeods there if you don't have anything of your own. If you have a cordless drill and saw you could bring along, that would be a great help in building the ladder bridges. The plan is to meet at 8:30 am at the bottom of the park on Golden Eagle Road directly under the power lines. We will be cooking up some grub at 12:30 so let me know if you can make it. If anybody has a Bobcat or operates one, please let me know, we may rent one if we can keep it busy on Saturday.

For future updates, you can checkout the bike park blog at:

Please email Cougar Hall at: [email protected] if you think you can make it out this Saturday. We don't want to run out of food!
