I don't know about mtb riding there, but the Green River is a world class trout stream, so bring a fly rod.

As happyriding said, the green river has world class flyfishing.
When you're ready to ride just head west from Dutch John to Red canyon lodge and pick up a free trail map. This area isn't known for it's mountain biking, but there's enough singletrack to keep you busy for a couple of days and after that there's hundreds of miles of fire roads. The area you'll be in is a scenic, semi-remote, alpine area filled with wildlife. enjoy!
I don't know how mobile you'll be, but south of that area there's a town called Vernal. It may be warm, but I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the riding there.
