    DH riding in SLC area

    Hey All..

Heading to Whistler in about a week and may spend a couple days in the SLC area.

We can bring trail bikes but prefer not to.. Besides the Canyons, is there any good DH in the area that an out of towner can access??

I feel like we have more trail bike stuff to offer than DH, we have great DH but as a whole trail bikes have more access to fun stuff, IMO.

If you are really into Whistler type riding canyons resort will be your closest resort but it is NOT THERE YET! I warned you… haha. Really though it is a good time. Just don't think you are going to ride Whistler.

Canyons is bike park style, jumps, berms, flow.

Deer Valley is "old school" technical DH, right now (they are working on some new jump lines)

Either one is worth hitting in my opinion, if you have a couple of days, definitely hit both! Its not like Whistler where it takes days to see all the trails, you can hit the trails each mountain has to offer in a day.

Depending on where you are coming from and what you have been exposed to, it should be a good time and get you amped up for Whistler.
