    Desert Rampage

How many of you guys and gals are heading down to St. George next weekend for the first ICUP race? I personally can't wait to get back down there and hit some dirt. I am tired of riding on snow!

I'll be there. This will be my first ICUP race ever, so I'm way excited and pretty nervous.

I was beginning to think I was the only one going down! It's always a fun race and you should enjoy it! Are you entering the beginner class?

Advice for DR racers from up north.....this is just what I saw based on being the neutral support last year. #1 more PSI is better than less. So many people got pinch flats it wasn't even funny...kinda sad really. It's a little bit of a rocky course. #2 Tune up your bike...at least oil the chain....so many bikes busted out from the cold unkept...shameful.
#3 Tire selection is key. It's a fairly groomed course but a little more meat on the tread can be helpful...it's a little more variable terrain than most SLC singletrack I've ridden. Hope this helps..see you in March....maybe.
Problem: "Bike has trouble going up steep hills."
Fix: Recommend pressing harder on the pedals.

No. I think you read DR from the first post and thought DH. DR = Desert Rampage.

Yup 19-29 beginner. Hopefully later in the season I'll be in shape to move up to sport, but we'll see how that goes...

HAHAHA, I don't think the XC guys and gals would be too pleased when they came flying down the trail to one of those...all things in their right place, right?.....Plus the racecourse dh is one of my all time favorite rip it lines, you know, go really fast and try to make the corners very hot

BTW you still need to hook up with us for a ride sometime Shelbster.

I know we should, i rode wendsday with tracon kirk and he was talking about you guys, i havent been on barrels for a few months. I can only take getting the sh*t scarred outta me every once in awhile and now you guys built bigger stuff! A couple friends went out the other day and one of them broke his collar bone on that 15' hip.
