    Cutler Flat - Ogden Valley

Just curious if anyone has ridden Cutler Flat lately. I went up there today and just before the creek crossing the trail/road had a stream running through it. I managed to walk around it and get up to the creek crossing. The creek was flowing pretty good still. Looking across the creek it looks like maybe the trail is wiped out but I can't really tell because of the shrubbery. I'd hate to walk all the way across the creek to find a collapsed trail.

That looks about normal for the trail this time of year. If you are worried about what the other side looks like, ride it backwards. It's easier coming down through slop than going up through it anyway.

I was able to walk around the pictured slop okay. The other side of the creek was more concerning. I'll try riding it backwards next time. Thanks

Rode this trail yesterday. The trail is much better on the other side of the creek. No more streams running through the trail on that side and less rock.

Still not my cup of tea . I like the Mule Loop better, but I had yet to be on this trail so thought I'd give it a try after seeing this thread.

Thanks for the review. Maybe I'll go check out mule ear tomorrow.

I rode Mule Ear and Mule Shoe today and it was great! Mule Shoe is quite a bit overgrown and has way more horse poop than Mule Ear.

I attempted Cutler Flat again today. The trail after the creek is not passable. You'll have to fork right up the hill onto bicentennial trail. This cuts the mileage by about a mile and a half.
