Could I ride Wasatch Crest tommorow

I took the day off from work. I've always wanted to ride Wasatch Crest. Do you think there would be a lot of snow?

From my viewpoint of the Canyons ridgeline of the WC, it looks to be fairly constant snow on everything except for Southernish exposures from 8k to 10k. I'm sure it can be done, but give yourself lots and lots of time, maps/GPS (if you don't know the trail), and some good waterproof boots, along with bivy, etc. Other problem will be mud when you transition from pure snow levels.

So, its all still covered in snow still? I would need a fatbike?

From my vantage point, the ridge is still solid snow from 8 to 10k. But that is just one viewpoint, and maybe the trail is beautiful hero dirt. It has been close to freezing the past week at night (except last night only got down to 42), but most likely will be some epic slush if you don't do a real early dawn patrol on it.

If I was doing it, I'd take my fat bike, as I would see it as more of a slugfest than a burn some berms kind of ride.

Believe this picture was taken yesterday and is from where you start out on the trail from guardsman.

Lots of snow between there and where it would clear out. I would say at least a couple weeks or more before it's ready to ride.
The person taking this picture said skis would be the method of choice for now, not even a fat bike.

So your best mode of transportation right now on Wasatch Crest would be two fat skis or one fat board, and some backcountry gear. Was up on guardsman on Sunday, still significant snow 8K-10K and ridge tops.

Thanks everyone. That's too much snow to ride on and would not be fun at all on a regular bike - more like hiking with a bike.
