Coming out to SLC for a few week, recommendations?

I was just out at SLC for business last week and met of with a friend for some mountain biking. We did a trail in park city, glenwild and it was unbelievable. Looks like I'll be coming back for at least the next two weeks and wanted to get some recommendations on what to do. I'll be shipping out my Stumpy FSR and consider myself an advanced rider, although the altitude was pretty tough last week.

Also, If I end up staying longer, is it worth heading down to Moab or any other mtbing meccas?

    Thx,

    Ben

Moab is hot this time of year. Might dampen the enjoyment.

    As for stuff up here:

The Crest/Mid Mountain trail in PC is a great loop. All the other stuff at Deer Valley and PCMR of course. There is nice riding close to SLC on the Shoreline Trail. There is great stuff up American Fork Canyon, fantastic singletrack at Corner Canyon in Draper, and good stuff in Utah County.

    I'd suggest either reading www.utahmountainbiking.com

    or

Greg Bromka's "Mountain Biking Utah's Wasatch Front."

Adventure Maps makes the best area map I have seen. It has all the SLC and PC rides, as well as many of the Utah County ones. It also includes several ride suggestions with directions to the TH's. And all for $10.
