Car show in moab april 24-26 = Crowd?

We are planning a trip in late April to do some riding in Moab and Fruita. We were planing on riding Moab April 19-20 and fruita 24-26, but we found out that the Fat tire festival was going on in Fruita and were concerned that the crowd may make things difficult, so we decided to ride Fruita on 19-20 and ride Moab 24-26. The only snag is apparently there is hudge car show in Moab April 24-26.

    The questions are

So how crowded does Moab get during this car show?
Are there traffic problems? ie may take 2 hours to get from the camp site to the trail head versus the normal 30 minute drive?

    Do the campgrounds fill up?

Fruita - I know this is not the forum, but since I have already created a post I will go ahead and ask some questions since the two are so close together.

Fat tire Festival - is this a big problem for finding lodging/camping? Is traffic an issue during this? How does it compare to the race at Highland state park the next week?

I can only answer the parts about the car show. Most of them don't camp so the hotels do fill up. There are plenty of hotels and camping in Moab so it shouldn't be a worry. The roads do get more traffic but travel times don't increase that much. Most of all it just makes Moab more fun. Something else to do when you aren't riding. They have a parade of cars on one of the nights which is fun to watch. Now that you reminded me, I may want to go down that weekend.

Yeah, ditto what Silentfoe said. We were down there last April during the Car Show and it was fine. In fact, I'm a bit of a car geek so it was an added bonus. They are not on the trails or at the trailheads so not in the way.

You may want to get your motel reservations in soon though.

Here's few pics from the show.
