    Blue Mountain Enduro

So what can anyone tell me about this? I've driven by Blue Mountain many times and always wondered if there were any good mtb trails up there.

    Here's the link.

Given that the main trail that race utilizes is "Robertson Pasture", and given your familial San Juan County connections, I imagine they'd let you ride for free!

Can't believe I'd never thought to take you down for an early fall Robertson lap. Best mountain singletrack in SE Utah, and beautiful, rare, red aspen. You need to come for longer this fall. New desert fun to be had too.

BTW, I am sending you an email tomorrow regarding our planned family trip through Ely (nights of July 4 and 5) this coming summer en route to Cali.

Interesting spot for an Enduro race. The Abajos or Blue Mountains don't get much attention. Unlike a spin on TWE these are rugged, backcountry trails.

I've ridden up Roberson Pasture from Foy Lake and it was a braided cow track. Shay Ridge is nice singletrack and Indian Creek Trail down to Newspaper Rock is a hoot.

    Wait, what? There's a limit?

Better get busy and plan my summer.

Definitely thinking about it. If I do, I'd want to combine it with at least a few days riding in Moab too, but August 5 is a little too summery still for Moab. Plus there's a Knollfest brewing in BC the end of September I'm trying to save up some kitchen pass points for...... and I want to spend a week in Tahoe/Downieville this summer as well.

Maybe just a quick weekend run would be the way to do it so as not to use up any work days. Hmm. Should be fun.

Has anyone been up in the Abajo Blues yet this year? Any word on trail status: blowdowns, etc.?
