    Bike wash in Moab?

Klondike was a little greasy today, anyone recommend a bike wash spot?

Was thinking more like a bike shop (without spending $8.00)...but yeah, car wash will have hot water!

Go to Walmart and get yourself a gallon garden sprayer. Fill it with hot water and spray the bike down. No worries of high pressure water getting places it shouldn't. How I clean my bike all the time.

The bike shops have bike washes, dah, but I've never tried them. Some places like Moab Valley RV Resort have bike washes so check where you are staying if not camping out.

Usually when the bike needs a wash my van does also so it is bath time. Wish I could join them instead of the makeshift shower on the back of my van, or the bike shops :-)

Be very careful washing a bike with pressurized water. Stay back aways and wash the bike with little pressure hitting it. Not good for seals.

I stumbled into Jeep Week last spring and finding an open car wash bay was really hard. While some Jeepers didn't mind some dust on their rigs, my style of 4WD, there were many who spent a LOT of time washing their Jeeps. Other than that week access has been easy. Plenty of car washes in Moab.

My guess is Rideit knows how to wash a bike.

I'm pretty sure there's a place to wash bikes at Poison Spider as well as take a shower.

He rides in cow country. Sorry, I just found the bike wash lessons a bit preachy. My apologies. Ride on.
