411 on Bluff & Navajo NM?

Heading to back to LA via the scenic route two weeks ago, I drove through first Bluff and then past the Navajo National Monument.

Bluff is a really long monocline, like Porcupine Rim. Navajo NM is like fifty miles of slickrock.

Does either place have any good riding? Navajo, particularly, looked as though you could be dropped off at one end and ride to the other, or at least ride partway, stay ata campground, then finish it.

    Any thoughts?

    Navajo, Hopi, Ute

Much of the area from Bluff south are Navajo, Hopi or Ute lands....

Although I have not ridden in the area, there is some fine slickrock riding in the Many Farms/Chinle region south of Bluff. A 1995 cover shot in Bike of Steve Garro comes to mind. There's good singletrack in the Abajo Mountains north of Bluff.
