When will bluetooth technology hit the mtb world?

Seriously, I'm tired of all these ugly cables and hoses running all over my bike. I need to be able to communicate to my suspension via voice command... "Steep climb, full lockout." ..... "rocky downhill, full open".

Same goes with my braking. My levers should be able to communicate with the calipers wirelessly.

And don't tell me weight is an issue, my stupid bt headset weighs 30 grams.

    Discuss.

Where's you get the bluetooth headset? I though my Chris King headset was pretty light, but it's something like 100 grams.
{Principal Skinner} Hmm. Whoever did this is in very deep trouble.
    {Martin} And a sloppy speller too. The preferred spelling of 'wiener' is w - i - e - n - e - r, although 'e - i' is an acceptable ethnic variant.

Actually, it isn't that far fetched. Although it wouldn't be bluetooth, radio controlled would be pretty simple for something like the rp3 toggle.

So great, when it does come out, we'll have to give credit to dirty bung for predicting it.

While we're on the topic, I'd like to see ABS on mountain bikes. I just can't believe industry has been slow to embrace this life saving technology.
I'm betting Chris King will be first on board.

There's still 2 months left in 06. Funny how we all think in "biking years", based on when the new years products hit market.

IM NOT FEELING IT, I like my cables

Bluetooth is so 2004 what about thought control, by the time you speak into the headset and it transmitts its gonna be all over red rover

Plus it will price us out of another Turner, I9s, GDs and other assorted ugi that is Homer approved, I'd rather have the cable and more Turners than bluetooth sorry DB I know ya have a fetish for things blue but istill its a good thought

    Don't dis Gigi

DH hope you didn't buy the movie with that, the names cool for the flux though so Homer approval is granted

They now have AWD bikes with a system that uses traction control... I haven't seen any here but bet they'd be handy to drive in the snow.
I ride with 65'er...he's a mountain goat....But then again, we need to throw him in the mud and pack his pockets with lead shot before a scale will read him. - Psycho Mike

    Wireless braking instead of cables?
This thread gives a whole new meaning to "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH"

On the subject, can anyone provide a detailed pro/con evaluation of MacGravityDropper vs GravityDropperXP?
