    what's it worth?

I am wondering what my 2003/2004 Large poofta red 5 Spot front triangle might be worth. I'll clean it up tonight or tomorrow and try and post up some pics. It has a couple of paint scrapes on the seatpost tube and 3 or four rock dings on downtube.

I am really loving the spot but I have started to ride a bit bigger - 3 foot to flat... I am 210lbs with gear and I am sure the spot can handle what I am currently doing but I don't know how much bigger I can go so I was thinking of getting an RFX front triangle.

That is pretty close to what I was hoping. I think if I could get $350 I would sell it. I'll have to get some pics up so ya can tell me what ya think.

Just the front tri or rockers too?
I'm sure there's plenty of Burner owners who'd jump at the chance to do a presto-change-o and get a Spot.

He said he is selling the front triangle only, no rockers, therefore the low (relative) price. He just wants a 5-Pack via a Pack front triangle.

I reckon there may be some 5 spot rockers up for grans on here anyway in a week or so if Darren comes through, would make a cheap five spot for a burner owner.

Retail they are $900. I believe crash replacement are around 6 bills. And that's for a new one. So depending on the condition of yours, the above recomendations may not be too far out of the ballpark.

Here is the front triangle - the bad side - you can see the scrape on the seat post tube.

    downtube ding(s)

Here are the dings on the downtube. 2 of them have slightly deformed the metal the others are just paint marks.

tscheezy is right - I am thinking of a 5 pack - so just toying with the idea of selling the front triangle. The more I think about it the more I think the spot can handle what I dish out. I don't know that I will push it much more than 3 feet to flat - but then again...

    so what do ya think?

So after seeing the pics what do ya think the front trinagle is worth?

Do you think the spot will have any problems with the type of riding I described above?

Well, take waaaay better pictures (), put a $325 price on it, slap in in an ad here on mtbr, and let the market decide. If you don't get nibbles, just keep riding it. If someone snaps it up, go Packing.

and clean that damned door! sheesh!

i pretty much agree with cheesey but i might be inclined to start a bit lower for a 3 to 4 year old front tri with 2 good sized dings in it and a impending bushing change. perhaps the poofta red is worth another $50 or so if yer into that kinda thing.

a 210lb guy doin 3 to flat and lookin at more might be much happyer with a pack/rfx/whatever too. whatever ya do, i wish ya luck with the sale.
