Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! What should I do?

I have been off the bike for almost 2 years and I got the itch again to start riding. My legs are pure mush and its going to be HELL for a long time before I can ride my 2008 Highline the way it needs to be ridden. I also have a 2008 5Spot set up for longer trail rides.

    Highline set up
    Fox 40
    CCDB
    Saint Cranks
    e13 w/ Granny
    King Front & Rear Hubs
    Mavic 823

    5Spot set up
    Pushed RP23
    Pike 454 Coil
    XT (all around)
    Hope Front & Rear Hubs

So im thinking about selling both bikes and using the money to build up beefy DW 5Spot.

I just want to make sure Im not making a hasty decision here. Any thoughts or ideas would be great.

    Thanks

I'd get some fitness first and then see what happens.

Good luck, it'll be worth it in the end.

Agree with Tunes. You won't lose much coin if you ride the bikes you have for 3 or 4 months, see if the "bug" is real, and then still end up deciding to buy a new bike.

In fact, you might do better if you sell in the spring.

Nice bikes! Welcome back to the trails!
    Whining is not a strategy.

My two cents? You've already got a pair of top-tier bikes with meaningful spacing between their intended uses: just get out there and start riding again!

And your legs will come back maybe faster than you imagine, so don't despair.

Just ride em like u stole em. What u have already compares to anything out now. I ride the same 5 spot and it can do anything I need and more.
    Too wet to ride!

You've got the bikes you already need. Just ride them.
Get on a road bike and get some base miles under you belt.

get a 9er single speed or a road bike and ride that for the next three months without looking at these two beauties you have here. They will look like Christmas presents after your time on the road

    Get better soon!

PS I envy you your 26in Weirwolf LTs. Wish WTB still offered that tire.
