    Vancouver Island

Hi, will be in on Vancouver Island next week around the South Island. Can any one point us in the direction of good bike/hire shops. Is there a Turner dealer in the area.

Have a 5 Spot and the new 2009 Spot on order (getting very impatient).
    Appreciate any advice.
    Thanks

It's pretty slow, I'm on crutches still.... just starting to gradually weight bear @ 8-9 weeks. I have an appointment friday and hopefully I'll get the green light to lose the crutches.

Just looking forward to being able to walk again! And I've been staying entertained, reading a lot, spending time with the family... generally trying to make the best of it.

Sucks to be on crutches, I know, I was on crutches for two months once after a knee surgery. But I was on the kind of crutches the permanently disabled use, the kind that are shorter and have a metal C that fits around the forearms, not the sucky kind that fit up under the armpits. Learning how to go downstairs in them was something else!

If you have to be on crutches for any length of time past your next appointment look into the other kind of crutches. It's a completely different workout, you use your arms in a different fashion. And, FM, keep the faith, you will be on a bike again and I assure you that you will cry when you turn the cranks once again. I did and it was a wonderful experience.

Come on guys, we can do it in 2! or even 1

FM's advice was good NSMB.com has the highest number of Canadian MTBers. Should be plenty of info and people to meet over there.

Let us know how the riding is!

and if any Canadians even knew what a Turner was to begin with. I have yet to meet a single one that recognized my Turner Highline.

Loads of sweet trails on the Island. I highly recommend Cumberland and Forbidden Plateau.

We have 4 Turners (RFX & Burner for me, Highline & XCE for the gf). I am pretty sure I could ID yours or any other Turner out there....
Didnt realize ppl were obliged to recognize your bike when they met you

and please, don't take me seriously at all. I joke.
I'm the last person in the world who would even care about such a thing.
