    Turner in the Mist

Well here is some stoke in B&W for y'all.
This was a big day for me. I have been eyeing up this ski jump at blackrock freeride area for a while now. It prolly isn't a huge deal for a lot of folks but... It is pretty high and exposed on all sides.

Geared the RFX up with a short stem and some DH clothes and sent er Landed er clean and happy! Yeah son.

    RFX in short DH clothes

Me givin er on the rfx (a little blurry sorry!)

Cool pic of a bro gettin his log ride on

One of our best shots all day, nother bro coming down the big wall ride

    enjoy

Nice pix, though obviously photochopped, since everybody on this forum knows that kind of big riding just cannot be accomplished with a DHX-Air.
    Whining is not a strategy.

right on boone, we don't see enough BR.
that wall ride! I want one.
what are you running your fork at? looks like 150ish.
what is your usual bike du jour for there? That place reminds me so much of the goods here, cept BR is much gooder. I've only ridden my 5"x66 rfx at the BR, super fun bike for most of the stuff, but on a few of the lines I would need to be on the highline.

Killer stuff man! I am jealous, trails here now are covered with wet mulch. I rode last night and uh, wow am I out of shape already and my knees hurt. Welcome to winter! It's that way every year, that's what makes summers here all that much better.

Nice work on the jump, that looks like a fun hit.

Don't sell yourself short; that ski jump is nothing to laugh at. I almost pissed myself taking the chicken line around it. Love the wallride shot, too. When did you guys ride and how were the conditions? We've had some late weeks of sun, but I haven't been able to get down there.

    Nicely done

Thanks dudes! I really like messin with B and W.
Sean- this places is usually under snow, though it does get hit once in a while!

Whafer- this is as close to SS geo as I can get with this rig. 14" BB and about 67.5 HA.
Works pretty good. If the seat tube was a little shorter I would have no complaints (they did this exact thing for 07/08- thanks DT!)

Kosmo- I actually am one of the lucky ones when it comes to the DHX air. I have had 3 or 4 of them on everything from little XC bikes to full blown DH bikes. Ii really like them a LOT!

Wreck- My bike of choice up there is the SS UFO ST; 6.5 front and back at about 36 lbs. That is the perfect set up. Only problem being the RFX is WAY easier to pedal to the top
I though tI would try the RFX out up there this day. I felt so good on it I hit this thing that I have not hit all season on the ufo

FM- keep that knee on ice son! Hope you are healing up fast brotha.

SAA- we hit BR up a couple of weekends ago. The B and W pics took some time to get ready to post With all the dry weather and little rain I am sure BR is still really great right now!!

    Thanks dudes for stoke support!

    Great pics.

I agree with everyone else on the ski jump. That's not small, and we all know that pictures never really do it justice.

I love that wall ride. I went to blackrock in 06 and didn't get a chance to go back this year. What trail is the ski jump on?

Here's me hittin that wall ride on the highline. It's a still taken out of a short vid so it came out with a nice blur in the background.

    Flyin canine- that's awesome!
The ski jump thing is the smooth drop off the ladder just before the wall ride.

Oh, and the pics are very nice. I can't wait to ride that place.
