    Turner 29er.....

any news on this frame? Just read an article in Bicycle Retailer talking about the 29er revolution and they mentioned DT.....just wondering if anybody had seen or heard anything new in the last couple of weeks.

    Thanks.

    BB

Honestly, it looks JUST like a Flux (other than the finish- sort of "raw"). You know how some 29ers look all weird and diproportioned? Well, the XL Sultan looks just like a large Flux. A tweak here and there, but quite asthetically pleasing and not big-wheeled-goofy looking.
My video techniques can be found in this thread.

    Head angle

The Intense Spider 29er has a 73 degree HA
The Titus RacerX 29er has a 71 degree HA
What direction is Turner going with this frame?

Keep in mind that 29er HA do no equate to 26er HA due to differences in fork trail, rake & wheelbase.

Start calculating trail for the various wheelsizes, and you will find that a HA of 70 on a 29er has a trail around 95mm...equivalent to a bike like the pack. Or so it seems from a commonly quoted calculator of such things.

I'm sure somebody here can make a nice chart out of this

    Downloadable calculator here: http://www.anvilbikes.com/images/1064634020.xls

as one waterlogged homer told me, looks just like a flux if ya ignore the head tube and lower shock mount.
