    Sultan on the Colorado Trail

I needed something to break up the drive from Phoenix to Olathe Colorado last week so about 40 miles out of Durango on the 550 I stopped at Molas Pass and got on the Colorado Trail. It starts about 10,600 feet, I only rode out about 5 miles before turning back and hit over 11,600 feet. It was a long slow grind for somebody used to living at about 1000 feet above sea level but the views are simply amazing. Seems you can get a shuttle out of Hermosa and ride the trail back down to town so will have to plan that next time.
