    Spot 08 first ride

I finished my spot build on saturday at about 1pm and by 3pm i was out on it.My first impressions are.
1- climbs very well for an 140mm travel bike.
2-Rips on the rough stuff, roots and rocks are eaten by the suspension.
    3-excellent on tight single track.
4-Hit a couple of smaller jumps 3-4 ft and it feels really good when in the air and very balanced.
5-attracts a lot of attention from other cyclists(not many in the sw of the uk)
6-I want to ride it more.

I have the same bike, but my first ride wasn't so positive... It took me about a dozen rides to get it dialed in to the point that I was loving it.. and looking forward to every ride.

I noticed you had Maxxis tires... I had Maxxis High Rollers in 2.1 and couldn't live with them... they felt like they looked, skinny and light on traction. I tried the Crossmarks and they worked much better.. but I'm going back to Kenda Nevegal's in 2.1... they just work for me... and are true to size unlike the anemic High Rollers... what a disappointment.

I think it takes a while to get this bike fully dialed-in, and broken-in.. (it did for me).. And I've realized it needs to be plusher than on other bikes I've ridden... maybe to take advantage of the travel.. I don't know.. but it is an extremely balanced and controllable ride. Congrats on getting to know this bike... it is nice.
