Random Musings on my trip to St.George

First off....big props to Team Sanchez. They're a great group of guys, and while not the best of drinking buddies, they make great tour guides.

Most Likely to Talk Me Into Jumping off a Cliff Award: El Chingon. Although he is a most excellent coach

Most Likely to Wheelie Drop from 8' to Flat & Look Good Doing It: Slim Shady

Brakes are Overrated Award: Again to Slim Shady who had no rear brake on yesterday's ride

Perserverence Award: Dell - whose drivetrain imploded at Slickrock Swamp and singlespeeded Gooseberry Mesa for 4 hours today

Lost Navigator Award: Pinch: you really couldn't find a sorrier group of navigators than Pinch & I although Team Sanchez' adivce of "Don't worry, you can't get lost" wasn't the most sage

Most Likely to be riding a Ventana shortly: El Chingon who was uber-impresed with Dell's rig

Really Needs a Different Bike Award: D-Wang whose Speeshy buzzes louder than a pack of angry bees

Most Spectacular Landings Award: Pinch - and he gets mad props for repeated effort. Besides, he wasn't going to let his female cousin show him up

Most in need of a Babysitter Award: Crash The Dog who missed today's fun at the Goose

The person Slim wants to see Naked Award: Can't Get Right. He's probably still begging you to take off that shirt

Most obnoxious Award; Aquajerkoff. Duh. And he wasn't even there

Most likely to lose to me in a ski or bike race: ArticlePabloStrike

Most likely to show up next time with a fork that works: Yours truly

Thanks again guys. It was great.

"Team Sanchez' adivce of "Don't worry, you can't get lost" wasn't the most sage."

been there. seems we have a history developin here. but in all fairness, i cant pin it on just the locals. squish and i were out there wonderin around for about 40 min. i was gettin myself prepared for a long night but we eventually got lucky and found what was left of the group. this happened on little creek on the big slabs with questionable trail markings if yer not hip to the layout.

Heh that just brought back memories of last year's THG... talking to him standing over a ledge and it goes from a "NFW" to "NBD" in no time.
Faster is better, even when it's not.

I was quite impressed with the Ventana, but I don't see one in my near future. It seems they have an issue with the rear der. exploding.......

    El C,
As the first outsider to conquer the South Shore, did I earn Team Sanchez honorary status?

Yeah, my landings weren't the prettiest. It is definitely something I need to work on. And, if you ever need motivation just have a female hit all the drops before you. Then you have no choice but to hit them. Seriously though, Ham Sandwhich's SO is a great rider. She's got skills and courage.

Pinch, you did great. It was a pleasure riding with you. I can't think of too many people I'd rather get lost with.

Squeak the final initiatory step is for El Chingon to give you your true Mexican name. Good to ride with you again. Sorry I had to bail on Goose. Next time bring Larry.

    How about El HeŽBrew ?

On Sunday Team Sanchez was referring to you as Rongina. Yo no habla espanol. Can you translate?

As for Larry....let's just say that he's one guy with worse babysitting options than you.

Likewise. I hope our biking paths cross again in the future.

Yeah, the brownies deserve honorable mention. Definitely a great post ride snack.

Good luck with the honorary Mexican name. I think mine is pinche, whatever that means.

El C said I had to perform a particular manuever at Goose to become an honorary member, I thought he was talking about a riding manuever but maybe he was talking about your team's namesake
