Info on crowns - one google search for function crowns, leads to a sicklines pic of the crowns.

They are labeled "inertia project" - another search and it leads to :

    http://www.function-bikes.com/Inerti...ct-Crowns.html

A company out of Oregon that makes lightweight drop crowns for 888 / Fox40. Has a direct mount stem that can be set at 45mm / 55mm offset.

    Sweet looking stuff.

Very nice! I'm digging those pedals and seat clamp. I see your bars get scraped up too. I thought I was the only one.

Good choice on riding spots, yesterday I took my Highline up Cowles and the Big Rock trail was packed with hikers.

Did you try the new 3some at WC

    And nice bike

My directions are not vary good but I will give it a try, 3some is about in the middle of WC, look off to the right before you get to the bolder you ride over, then you hit a rock jump that goes into a turn, the landing is a sandpit. Mouse jockey can give you better descriptions then I can.

Yeah I painted my bars and promptly scraped them up good. I'm thinking about buying another set of Cro-Mag bars and finding a shop to anno them gold.

I'm impressed those flat crowns fit on the XL frame. Even the stock Zoke crowns have a slight drop and barely make it...what size tires are those, you checked for clearance at full bottom-out, yes?

Nice DXC-II heaset I like how they ditched the blue "seal" ring. Did that reduce the total stack height?

TCB, nice Avatar...one of my favorite beer brands!

That was a huge concern for me, The headset total stack height is only 10mm, so with the function crowns im right at eight inches between lower crown and the seals. Plus i think the Function Lower crown has a bit more room for the tire then the marz crown. but long story short, its still a tight fit.

I was at WC yesterday. The dirt is faaaaanntastic. I blew my RD on a drop (already damaged from an earlier crash last week on a sick DH) so I rode single speed out from 4 corners.

To funny, I did the same thing last month at WC going down waterfall, I also converted it to a single speed to get back to the car, I replaced the XT derailleur with a new Saint

BTDT If you haven't already, you migh want to consider popping the top off the spring leg and compressing the fork to full-hard bottom and see where your tire ends up. Better to find out on the workbench than after a big drop.

There are issues with the Medium Higline, low profile headsets and Fox40. Don't know if the angle of the downtube on larger sizes improve the situation.
