Yea, CC was smokin. Squish has gotta be the best wrench around, props to them both.

Cool to meet a bunch of Homers, look forward more riding with you doods. At one point there were 8 Turners in the Balzac pit, and a bunch more on the hill.

There will be some more posts with vids and stills from a bunch of guys at the nats.

    Well done Tom. Congrats !!!!!!!

RRoeder can learn a lot from you. You can start by teaching him your one-finger brake technique

I suspect Rick is curled is up in the fetal position sucking his binkie right about now.

Great weekend, and a huge congratulations to both Tom and Parse(The Dude), they both rode really well, and both over came some personal and mental limitations this weekend. I'm stoked to have had the chance to be there. Now I'm just waiting for a video from another rider I wrenched for this weekend to pop up...Cat1 racer on a 10 hour old DHR that I helped assemble...this cat was freakin fast! Maybe Deadbolt can get him a little more motivated!

    happy trails...

    word of the day: thanx!

wow! 44 well wishes and over 1500 hits (sure, a few of em my own). theres no way i could sit back and lurk any more without sayin thanx to ya all for the very kind words of support. speakin of which, there were so many folks, many from this very forum, who showed up just to say hi and root for team balzac and even more who offered assistance in 1 form or another. you know who ya are and what ya did for us or me. what ya may not know is just how much i appriciate it and how positively it added to the experience.

it wasnt easy for me to fully understand this win much less the title as im not used to such a thing but im much closer to embracing it, certainly more than race day where admitedly i was pretty much a mess. thanx again to those around me who put up with me.

dont misunderstand any of this as my return to the homer party, its mearly the right thing to do... show up to a celebration in yer own honor and say thanx. speakin of celebrations, the guys at the shop and a few local pals are doin the same for me in a few so im off. be well guys.

    and thanx again.

So Tom next step is the Worlds masters!

We have the NZ masters games here also I think ya should make a trip to see if ya can take those titles!

Give me a couple of years and I'll join ya at the NZ masters, no world domination for me be lucky if I get off last place, but be stoked to rip the DH with a oldschool Nat champ from the US

Good on ya, Cactus. I've poked fun at ya in the past, but a wins a win regardless of how old or how slow a b@stard you are.! How's that for a backhanded compliment?

Either way, riding bikes with friends is fun. Roadtripping rules. Pushing your own limits in a race is even better. Combine all three and you've got a killer weekend.

    Kudos.
